DAY 1 – JULY 14Welcome to Kenya! Arrive at the Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta Airport by ECOLIFE Executive Director Bill Toone, his wife Sunni, and the team from DK Grand Safaris. Relax for the evening at the modern and contemporary Boma Hotel.

DAY 2 – JULY 15Adventure awaits. Morning flight to Tsavo West National Park - the “land of lava, springs, and man-eaters”. Tsavo West is home to a large population of “red” elephants, black rhinoceroses, Hunter's hartebeest, and over 500 different bird species. Spend the afternoon game viewing in the park, including a visit to the Shetani (meaning devil) lava flows - a spectacular black landscape of caves and jagged rocks. Dinner and overnight stay at Finch Hattons Luxury Camp.

DAY 3 – JULY 16Spend the full day exploring Tsavo West National Park - a park with magnificent mountainous landscapes. Morning and afternoon game viewing including a visit to Mzima Springs, where hippos and crocodiles can be seen in crystal clear water. Keep your eyes open for giraffes, lions sleeping after lunch, and be ready to stop as gazelles and cheetahs dart in front of your eyes. Stay at Finch Hatton’s Tented Camp.

DAY 4 – JULY 17Let’s hit the road and make our way to Amboseli National Park with game viewing enroute. Game viewing in the park set at the foot of scenic Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world. Amboseli is famous for being the best place in the world to get close to big families of free-ranging elephants, lions, cheetahs, gazelles, zebras, and more. Stay at Satao Elerai Camp, where you will enjoy spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

DAY 5 – JULY 18Enjoy the tranquil beauty and fabulous wildlife of Amboseli. A visit to a Maasai village where we will get rich insights into their culture and lifestyle. Afternoon game viewing, followed by dinner and overnight stay at the Satao Elerai Camp.

DAY 6 - JULY 19Flight to Samburu. Afternoon game viewing in the Samburu Game Reserve, famous for its rare species of fauna known as the ‘Samburu Five’ and vast, open landscapes. The Samburu Five are the Gerenuk, the Reticulated giraffe, the Somali ostrich, the Grevy's zebra, and the Beisa oryx. Dinner and overnight stay at Larsen’s Tented Camp.

DAY 10 – JULY 23 Flight to Masai Mara - one of the great wonders of the world known for the spectacular migration of wildebeests, zebra, and topi. Spend the afternoon relaxing and game viewing in the Mara North Conservancy, a beautiful, private wilderness area of more than 74,000 acres. Stay at Karen Blixen Tented Camp.

DAY 7 – JULY 20Spend the morning exploring the Samburu Game Reserve. Visit the West Gate Primary School to meet and interact with local schoolchildren and people. Stay at Larsen’s Tented Camp.

DAY 8 – JULY 21Depart to Mount Kenya Safari Club located near the slopes of Africa’s second highest mountain, Mount Kenya. Dinner and overnight stay at Mount Kenya Safari Club.

DAY 9 – JULY 22 Enjoy a day of leisure at the Mount Kenya Safari Club. Try horseback riding, play golf at the equator, enjoy a massage, a walk in nature, mountain bike riding, or a visit to the Mt. Kenya Animal Orphanage. Stay at Mount Kenya Safari Club.

DAY 11– JULY 24Game viewing in the conservancy, searching for lions, cheetahs, or a leopard stalking it’s prey. Stay at Karen Blixen Tented Camp.

DAY 12 – JULY 25Head to Kichwa Tembo Camp, where we will cross the famous Mara River and explore the Masai Mara from the Tanzanian border to the Serengeti. It has a magic that keeps bringing safari travelers back for more. Afternoon game view-ing searching for the wildebeest migration and big cats. Stay at Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp.

DAY 13– JULY 26Enjoy and experience a full day in the Masai Mara Game Reserve’s tree-spotted savanna. Morning and afternoon game viewing in beautiful wilderness. Stay at Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp.

DAY 14 – JULY 27Morning flight to Nairobi. Those who are not participating in the extension will be provided a day room before their departure home. We will see you off at the airport in the evening. Those participating in the extension will stay overnight at the Boma Hotel in Nairobi. Unwind after your safari by relaxing in the sauna, pool, or enjoy a massage.

I am aware that during my participation in a tour of this sort, certain risks and dangers may arise, including but not limited to: the hazards of traveling in mountainous terrain, high altitude, or undeveloped areas; travel by train, plane automobile, horseback, boat or other means of conveyance; roads, trails, hotels vehicle, or other things which are not operated nor maintained to standards common in the United States; the forces of nature, terrorism, accident or illness without access to means of evacuation or availability of medical supplies; physical exertion for which I am unprepared; consumption of alcoholic beverages; negligence of ECOLIFE Conservation, its principals, guides, agents or others; or factors known or unknown.

I am also aware that medical services or facilities may not be readily available or accessible during some or all of the time that I am participating in the trip. I agree that ECOLIFE Conservation, its principals, guides, agents are not liable for the adequacy or availability of any equipment or supplies that may be provided in conjunction with the Utapenda Kenya 2018 or the adequacy or availability of any first aid or medical care.

I am voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of the dangers, delays, logistical and other problems in connection with the trip that may be involved and hereby agree to be responsible for my own welfare and assume any and all risks of illness, injury, emotional trauma and death and hereby release and discharge communities in common, inc. and its agents for associates from all actions, claims or demands for damages resulting from my participation in the trip.

I agree that under no circumstances, including negligence, shall liability to the applicant, his/her heirs, executors and administrators and all members of his/her family, of ECOLIFE Conservation, its principals, guides, agents exceed the total amount of funds paid by the applicant under the contract. The exclusions and limitations on the Liability Waiver or in the Brochure, are effective, and apply to claims in contract or in tort, including negligence, and whether or not there is a fundamental breach of the contract.

I agree that the foregoing obligation shall be binding upon me personally, as well as upon my heirs, executors and administrators, and all members of my family, including any minors accompanying me.

I have read carefully the brochure and the application form, including this liability waiver, and fully understand and agree with their contents. I am aware that they contain releases, exemptions and limitations of liability and are part of the contract between myself and ECOLIFE Conservation, and I sign it of my own free will.
