    PARIS Travel Guide

Paris is perennially la modeParis' centre gleams like a golden chariot that has been polished to

    perfection.

Paris, a magnet for lovers and their beloved; a sleepless and urbane capital

fuelled by champagne and dreams; and an unwavering lodestone for the world's

    art and culture connoisseurs.

Dash around the luxurious Champs-lyses, then tug at the city's bohemian roots

in Le Marais. Devour a baguette in Place des Vosges (Paris' oldest square) or get

into the spirit of romance in Montmartre for a meal and moonlit walk along the

    Seine.

BusAlthough there are many bus routes, traffic jams often make journeys slow.

Where possible, stick to the Metro. If you do travel by bus, there are 64 routes

that run between 05:45 and 00:30 weekdays and from 07:00-20:30 Sundays.

The 73 routegoes up the Champs-Elysesand past the Arc de Triomphe, while

either by credit cardor with a carte de stationnement for pay-and-display

machines (available at tabacs for 15 or 40). Road conditions are good and

motorways easily connect you to other French and international cities.
