Message from the Dean

CUHK Business School

CUHK Business School at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a pioneer and leader in management education in the Asia-Pacic region. Due to its strategic location, historical roots with China, world-class research and excellent teaching, the Business School plays a unique role in developing business leaders for the Asian Century.

Established in 1990, The Asia-Pacic Institute of Business (APIB) is the premier provider of executive education with its mission to empower managers and companies in meeting business challenges in Hong Kong and the rest of the Asia-Pacic region. Over the years, the School has nurtured more than 20,000 business professionals many of whom are pillars of the local and global business communities.

Prof. T. J. WongDean

CUHK Business School

Message from Honorary President

Treasury Markets Association

The Treasury Markets Association (TMA) plays a signicant role in fostering the technical expertise and professionalism of Hong Kong’s treasury market practitioners, and this “soft power” is what sets Hong Kong apart as an international nancial centre. With this in mind, I am pleased to see the TMA and the CUHK Business School jointly oer the Treasury Market Management Masterclass Program, the capstone of the TMA’s Professional Qualication Framework.

Through active engagement with their industry peers in the Masterclass Program, senior executives will develop the analytical skills critical for evaluating the strategic issues in treasury market management, corporate governance and nancial regulation that will aect their business. The course’s module focusing on RMB developments will strengthen participants’ ability to capitalise on the opening up of the Mainland markets. Taught by distinguished professors of the CUHK Business School, the course also features presentations from industry thought leaders whose market insights will be invaluable to course participants.

The Masterclass Program will reinforce the professional standards and ethics of its participants and prepare them to tackle the challenges and seize the opportunities in the market. I am condent that this joint endeavour from the TMA and the CUHK Business School will help cultivate the necessary “soft power” in our treasury markets’ senior executives, thereby bolstering Hong Kong’s position as an international nancial centre.
