Furthermore, eternal blessings, peace and salutations of Allah , be upon His Beloved, the Choicest of His creation, Sayyidunaa Rasoolullah , upon his family and his companions. It is a great honour for me to write a foreword on this excellent compilation by the author, on the beautiful attributes and noble qualities of the Noble Prophet Muhammad . I also commend the authors approach in extracting these attributes from the Holy Quraan, clearly demonstrating that the noble character of the Holy Prophet is a personification of the Holy Quraan itself.In the words of Sayyidah `Aa-ishah, the Holy Prophets wife, when she was asked about his character, she replied: His character was that of the Quraan. Therefore, this is the true meaning of the verse in the Holy Quraan, when Allah , says: Say: If you love Allah, then follow me, and Allah will love you. In order to taste the Divine Love and comprehend the inner and outer meaning of the Holy Quraan, we have to follow the Holy Prophet in everything. Thus, we have to follow him in his attributes, because the attributes of the Noble Prophet represent Prestige Networks www.prestigenetworks.co.za 9 his pure qualities and his character; and if we live with these beautiful qualities and this character, then Allah , will give us the high qualities of the soul (Rooh).Because this book deals primarily with the meaning and significance of the names and attributes of the Holy Prophet Muhammad , we should ask ourselves: What is the true Sunnah? The true Sunnah is to emulate the noble qualities of the Holy Prophet , and to perfect these qualities in our conduct (Akhlaaq). It is only with these qualities that we will taste the inner meanings and secrets of the Holy Quraan. Furthermore, it is said that every name of the Noble Prophet holds a key to the Divine Secrets of the Holy Quraan. Eternal Peace and Salutations upon the Best of creation, the Seal of all Prophets, the Mercy to all the worlds, the reason for creation, he whose Noor is the first of creation, Our Beloved Leader and Prophet, Muhammad , and upon his family and companions.How do we define a name? How much does it say about the person it refers to? In the past, a name used to refer more than anything to the person it referred to. It was a characteristic that informed us about what type of person is being referred to, what his status among the community is, and so on. Today, most names have no or very little significance, especially when it is given to a person.The greatest of names, ultimately, are `Abdullah (the servant of Allah), `Abdur Rahmaan (the servant of the Most Gracious), and Muhammad (one who is most worthy of praise). The last one mentioned is the name of the choicest of creation, the greatest man ever to grace this earth with his mubaarak feet, the Master of Prophets and Messengers, the Leader of those who are conscious of Allah, the Seal of all Divine Emissaries, our Noble Prophet, Sayyidunaa Habeebullah Muhammad Rasoolullah . Which person do we know whose companions were so immensely fond of and attached to, other than Sayyidunaa Rasoolullah ? Which person do we know that was taken so much note of, and that Prestige Networks www.prestigenetworks.co.za 00 his companions never missed out a single thing concerning him, no matter how minute? Surely, and without an atoms weight of doubt, the Beloved of Allah was the most influential person that history has ever known. That is why his noble Sahaabah never missed out on an opportunity to record in their memories, every single act and saying of the Holy Prophet . Even if he just moved his mubaarak eyes, it was noted by them and recorded in history.It is with great honour that I write this book concerning the noble attributes of the Choicest of creation, Sayyidunaa Rasoolullah . Studying Sayyidunaa Rasoolullahs noble attributes and titles is part of studying his life history, and it will enable us to understand him more. Imaam Al-`Allaamah Ibn al-`Aaqoolee ; states in his book, Al-Jaami` Li Awsaafir Rasool, that a name is a characteristic that provides proof about the person it refers to, and when it is implied, that person is understood.1We will never be able to fully understand the greatness of Rasoolullah and his excellence over the entire creation. We are human, and that is probably, the major factor that leads some to think and believe that Sayyidunaa Rasoolullah is a normal human being. Only Allah , knows completely the status and the excellence of His Beloved Rasool . Allah , is The Creator, and He is The One that accorded Rasoolullah with that status. Therefore, the false perceptions and beliefs of those who do not understand the greatest person ever to grace this earth have no effect in decreasing his elevated status and excellent position.

Prestige Networks www.prestigenetworks.co.za 02 In the coming chapters of this book, I begin with a look at the meaning of certain words, like Nubuwwah (Prophethood). This constitutes chapter one, as well as the discussion of four qualities that all the Prophets have, and that were not granted to the rest of creation. We also take a look at the four negative actions that all the Prophets AS are saved from. In chapter two, we take a look at some of the virtuous nature and excellence of Sayyidunaa Rasoolullah , and part of his elevated status in the eyes of the Lord of the worlds. In chapter three to five, we discuss his titles and attributes based on the Holy Quraan, about whose Divine Origin; no Muslim can have a single atoms weight of doubt. Each of these chapters is linked with a portion of the Holy Quraan. Then we conclude this book with a final word.I would like to mention that I have written this book by referring to the writings of the great classical scholars of Islam. These are `Ulamaa that have excelled in every field, and until today their writings are still benefiting the world, Muslims and non-Muslims alike. They are the likes of the Pious Sahaabah , the Pious Tabi`een, those that followed them in righteousness, like Imaam Muhammad Ibn Isma`eel Al-Bukhari ;, Imaam Abu Haneefah ;, and Imaam Jalaalud Deen As- Suyootee ;; who himself wrote a book on the noble attributes of the Holy Prophet , entitled Classic gardens about the explanation of the attributes of the best of creation . We should all aspire to follow in their inspiring footsteps, because they are the ones that lived Islam and emulated the Pure Sunnah of Sayyidunaa Rasoolullah in everything. Let us not follow in the footsteps of those who contradict and oppose the teachings of our illustrious ancestors, no matter who the contradictions come from.Prestige Networks www.prestigenetworks.co.za 03 I hope that Allah , allows this humble work to be sincerely and only for His sake, and that He accepts it. I hope Insha-Allah, that we will be able to understand the superiority of Rasoolullah over the rest of creation.
