Introduction.Our Approach
Conquip sets to bring about transformation of the world we live in. This means improving our living spaces, our ability to travel to them, and the quality of the environment we inhabit.
We do this by changing the way in which communities develop, offering consultancy and ultimately products and services, to improve the outcome of construction within a community.
We minimise disturbance during change by reducing transport disruption, pollution and noise, and help create new spaces with increased economic prosperity and the wellbeing of individuals.
Engineering a Better Environment
Our Vision
To deliver the highest quality innovation and service to change the places in which we live and work.
We do this by being the partner of choice for our people, our customers and our suppliers.

Commitment to quality. All Conquip Trench Shoring equipment has been manufactured from high quality British and European steel in the UK at our fabrication facility in Alton, Hampshire.
The equipment is designed and manufactured in accordance with BS EN 13331:2002-1 and BS EN 13331:2002-2 Trench Lining Systems.
All systems have been load and force tested for strength and compliance and all designs have been scrutinised by both in-house and trusted third-party engineers.
Our QHSE team include CSWIP inspectors who verify all manufactured products to BS EN ISO 5817-2014 Quality Level B. All our welding team are coded to BS EN 287-1 and at various stages in production our engineers carry out quality checks to ensure complete compliance to regulations.

Service. For over 14 years we have worked with clients across the construction industry, providing innovative new ideas and processes to challenge traditional methods.
We are service driven and feel it is our duty to listen closely to customer feedback. It is for this reason that we have launched a Trench Shoring range that is available for hire and purchase.
Our clients wanted control over their equipment and by offering a purchase option, we are giving back that control. We’re also removing hidden costs such as minor hire damage charges and lost equipment charges.
Our commitment to quality and service is such that we are happy to provide you with temporary works designs for any site for which you are using Conquip Trench Shoring equipment.

Trench Box Lightweight Trench Box
The Conquip 3.5m Trench Box is a simple to assemble, two sided trench lining support system designed to be installed by an excavator using the ‘dig and push’ technique, or by simply carrying out the excavation and then lowering each box into place.
Manufactured from 5mm, S355 Grade steel sections, the Trench Box is one of the strongest and most durable trench lining solutions available in the UK.
The Trench Box is normally selected for installing utility pipes where ground movement is not critical. The size of the system required depends on maximum trench depth requirements and the size of pipe sections. It is generally suitable for trench depths of up to 5.18m and trench widths of up to 4m.
It is suitable to be used with either Incremental or Variable Struts (see pages 16 - 17 for more details).
The Conquip Lightweight Trench Box is a lightweight, two sided trench lining support system designed to be installed by a backhoe excavator using the ‘dig and push’ technique, or by simply carrying out the excavation and then lowering each box into place.
The Lightweight Trench Box is available in a 3m external length and is suitable for trench depths of up to 3m.
It is suitable to be used with either Incremental or Variable Struts (see pages 16 - 17 for more details).

Incremental Struts Variable Struts
Conquip Incremental Struts are designed for use with Conquip Trench Boxes and Manhole Boxes. They are also fully compatible with the Lightweight Trench and Manhole Boxes.
The struts have been designed to extend in length in 100mm increments, this is to ensure maximum functionality on site. A simple design means they can be secured in place using bolts and R-clips, ensuring they are very easy and quick to assemble.
The Incremental Struts can be extended to a maximum of 2180mm, which facilitates trench widths of approximately 2665mm for a Trench Box and 3665mm for a Manhole Box.
Conquip Incremental Struts are designed for use with Conquip Trench Boxes and Manhole Boxes. They also are fully compatible with the Lightweight Trench and Manhole Boxes.
The struts are based on an extendable design to suit any working width or trench width required. With a strut resistance of up to 455kN they represent the highest quality strut available to the UK market.

Drag Box Fixed Struts
The Conquip Drag Box is a simple to assemble, trench lining system intended to be installed by an excavator using the excavate and drag technique.
They are designed to provide local support for trenches as transportable ‘shields’ generally in stable or self-supporting ground conditions.
The Conquip Drag Box is normally selected for installing utility pipes in non-urban environments where increased laying rate is required and ground movements are not critical. Drag Boxes are generally suitable for trench depths of up to 4.4m and trench widths of up to 3.2m.
It is suitable to be used with either Incremental or Variable Struts (see pages 16 - 17 for more details).
A Non Adjustable Strut is suitable for the Conquip Drag Box only. It comes in a range of lengths. Depending on the size of strut that is used a Drag Box has a working width of between 0.58m and 2.98m.

Trench Sheets
Conquip Standard Lap Trench Sheets are designed primarily for construction work and temporary deployment. Main applications include small sized trenches and excavations including basements, sewerage, water, gas or other services.
The lightweight, overlapping trench sheeting profile ensures a high strength to weight ration, which provides a safe environment for those working in trenches. Available in a variety of lengths, the Standard Lap Trench Sheets are particularly useful when services cross.
For Trench Sheet accessories, such as Driving Caps and Extraction Clamps, please refer to page 23.
Extraction Clamps are for removing Trench Sheets from the ground after use. Conquip Extraction Clamps feature a universal design, suitable for use with a variety of different Trench Sheet profiles.

Edge Protection
Conquip Edge Protection panels are 1.78m wide and work in conjunction with the posts and telescopic clamps. The Telescopic Clamps are suited to all Conquip Trench Shoring Systems, including the Lightweight Shoring Boxes and Trench Sheets.
Designed to fix to the top of a Shoring Box, the Telescopic Clamp is off-set which allows a Box to be transported lifted or moved without removing all of the Edge Protection. This allows operatives on site to save time and increases the likelihood of it being used properly on site.
