Can I graduate on time?

Yes! We designed the BBA International Programs as anintegrated option for UT’s business curriculum. With goodplanning, students with even the tightest of degree planshave been able to study abroad (some for even twosemesters) without delaying their graduation.

I receive scholarships/loans to attend UT. Can I usethem to study abroad?

Yes! Students keep their eligibility for loans and/or scholarships because they remain registered at UT. Also, basic costs abroad (tuition, books, food, housing, airfare, and insurance) are used to adjust, if necessary, your financial need for that period.

Specific study abroad scholarships/fellowships are alsoavailable. Opportunities vary by geographic location, andawards start from $500 up to full funding for the semester abroad. To learn more, contact us!

I would like to develop language skills, but it’s not part of my business degree. Can I do it?

Absolutely! Consider studying abroad to take advantageof courses and opportunities that UT doesn’t offer. Manystudents use this option to achieve personal andprofessional goals and to develop specialized skills thatenhance their business major.

When do students go abroad?

Students can begin exploring as soon as they sense aninterest, but which semester varies with an individualstudent’s goals and preparation. Students can study abroadas soon as the summer after freshman year with our partner in Mexico; many students go duringthe junior year; others prefer to go aslate as their final semester at UT.

When should I apply?

March 1 is the priority deadline for the summer, fall and the followingspring semester. There is a later rolling application process for springprograms with spaces still available.Summer deadlines vary according toprogram.

How do I learn more?

Visit http://new.mccombs.utexas.edu/bba/ip or stop by theUndergraduate Programs Office (CBA 2.400) to find printed

information and flyers on all of our programs. Interactive,question-and-answer style info sessions are offered duringthe semester. Times are posted on the Web site.

How do I make an appointment?

Students may schedule a study abroad advising appointmentafter attending an information session where they learn thebasics. To make an appointment, call 471-0690 or drop bythe Undergraduate Programs Office, CBA 2.400. The peer advisors at the front can help you find a time that fits in your schedule.

What will we discuss in an appointment?

You! An appointment with an exchange coordinator offers youindividualized attention to best consider your range of study

abroad options in terms of your particular goals, interests, options, and preparation. Course planning for before, during, and after study abroad helps students maximize the flexibilityin their degree plans.
