Let us remember God’s mercy, and
resist temptation.
CRS Operation Rice Bowl
CRS Rice Bowl is Catholic Relief Services’ Lenten faith-in-
action program. It offers opportunities for your family to
engage daily with the spiritual pillars of Lent: prayer, fast-
ing and almsgiving. It’s an opportunity for us as a parish/
school to come together as a community and reflect on
what it means to live out our Gospel call to go out and en-
counter those most in need.
During the next 40 days, you are invited to eat simple,
meatless meals each Friday. The purpose of the fast is to
remind us of our dependence on God, and our need for
God’s grace in our lives. It challenges us to live lives of sim-
plicity—lives that are ready to go to the peripheries, seek-
ing community and eager to serve.
Look for Rice Bowls available in your church entrance and
download the CRS Rice Bowl App! Visit crsricebowl.org
for more information.

A priest wears black for simplicity,
and he wears a white collar for
purity. He puts on a vestment to
take the attention off of him and
direct the attention to Christ in the
Eucharist. There is a prayer for each
article of clothing a priest wears for
the mass.

The cookie dough will be pre-formed into balls, so all you have to do is place them on a cookie sheet and
enjoy delicious, warm, homemade cookies at your convenience! Or, just skip the oven and eat the frozen
dough! Last year we made over 45,000 cookies and plan to do the same this year.
Volunteers Needed – Cookie Dough Making Day, Monday, April 8th: We are in need of MANY volunteers to help with
making a massive amount of chocolate chip cookie dough! Cookie dough making day is set for Monday, April 8th at the

work a small portion of a shift or for the full day, we will accept your help! Complimentary meals and refreshments will be
provided to all volunteers. Please call Sandy Schumacher at 464-0009 and let her know a specific time and how long you can
“work”…. We do have a lot of fun too!
Cash Donations Needed: If anyone would be willing to donate cash toward ingredients for making the cookies, that would
certainly be appreciated. Please call Sandy Schumacher 464-0009 if you are willing to contribute cash for ingredients.

sponsor once again this year! We provide lunch and dinner for all the volunteers (total of about 100+ people).

Bishop’s Appeal
Thank you to the 41
families who
donated $4,735
towards our goal of
$21,629. We still
need $16,894. Your
gift to the Bishop’s
Appeal will help in
countless ways. Make a tremendous difference, and give to
the Bishop’s Appeal. How much you give is less important
that the spirit in which you give. Even small donations add
up to large donations. To make a gift today contact your
parish, visit the Bishop’s Appeal website at:
www.catholicfoundationgb.org/give, or call Tammy
toll-free at 877-500-3580, ext. 8123. A gift of any size makes
a huge difference.
Chaplet of Divine Mercy
Please join us 20 minutes before Mass on the Saturday’s of
Lent as we recite “The Chaplet of Divine Mercy.”
Christian Ladies
Our next meeting will be held on Monday, March 11th at
6:30 p.m. in the church hall. Circle B will be hosting with
Jean Schaefer and Rita Schaefer as chairpersons. We will be
making quilts at this meeting, please come to help and
bring your favorite scissors. After the winter months of
snow, let’s all get out of the house and have some together
time with our fellow parishioners. All ladies are welcome,
hope to see you there!
