There is also a vomiting bug going around and we ask that children stay off school for at least 24-48 hours from the last time they vomited. Thank you Mr Howard for coming to school last week to help Josh Cairns, Cooper Mitchell and Ben Anderson draft the school lambs ready for the works. The lambs have been growing really well over summer. The boys drafted out 15 which were ready and they averaged a whopping 20.3kg at t h e works! FLAG BEARERS Well done to the 24 students who carried the flags of those countries competing in the World Shearing Champs at Stadium Southland. They all looked fantastic in their Limehills jackets and were great ambassadors for the school.

AGRI KIDS

Congratulations to Hannah Thorburn, Maisie Smith, Brooke Forde, Leon Ridd, Eddie Smalley and Jonty Pyle who represented Limehills at the AgriKids competition in Roxburgh on Saturday.

Students had a fantastic day doing a range of things including building a gate, putting together a beehive, identifying plants, putting a bridle on a horse, and identifying problems and treatments in cows milk. Well done to Leon, Eddie and Jonty who made it to the finals and had to compete in a Race Off against the top 6 teams.

Sustainable Coastline Mobile Phone Campaign A big thank you to community for all their support and generosity received in 2016 collecting old mobile phones. If you have any old mobile phones, please send them along to the office. Thank you.

Winton Football Club Inc Our registration and have a go day will be held for juniors (4-17 year olds) on both Saturday 4 March, 2 – 3.30pm and Monday 6 March 4 – 5pm at the south end of Moore’s Reserve. Any interested players, male and female, can arrive on either day for a kick round and those contemplating playing for the first time can see if they like it. ATHLETICS We have started our athletics training and would really appreciate if there are any parents who are willing to come along to help us. We train from 1.30-2.30pm Monday to Thursday and would welcome anyone who could help us with our jumping, throwing and running. Please contact Hunter or Linda if you are able to help on any of these days.
