the CD media along with the upgrade packs and release
notes. As a value-added service to clients, Tricor Roots are
organizing a number of FREE briefing sessions to clients on

1. Official Release of Q-RADAR V9.0 and FREE Briefing Sessions
If you are a Q-RADAR system user with an active maintenance agreement, you should have received the official Q-RADAR V9.0
upgrade pack. The following are included in the upgrade pack:
• A CD media containing the installation package
• A welcome letter from Tricor Roots
• A set of release notes
• Introduction and recommendation of core new features that your Organisation can immediately benefit from in V9.0
To assist our clients to implement and maximize the benefits of Q-RADAR V9.0, Tricor Roots has organized two FREE Q-RADAR
briefing sessions on the following dates:

2. Publication Correction from InTouch January 2013 Newsletter on Client Announcement
In our InTouch January 2013 Newsletter, Tricor Roots incorrectly printed that Penang Port had engaged Tricor Roots to
implement and automate the Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework using Q-RADAR. We wish to clarify that the
actual organization that did engage Tricor Roots for this service was PBA Holdings Berhad (PBA).
We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience that the error may have caused.

3. PBA Holdings Berhad Enhances its Business Continuity Management (BCM) through Integration with ERM using Q-RADAR
PBA Holdings Berhad has engaged Tricor Roots Consulting to implement and automate the Business Continuity Management (BCM)
framework. PBA Holdings Berhad is the holding company of Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang Sdn Bhd (PBAPP), the licensed
water operator for the State of Penang, Malaysia. A significant portion of the mandate is to integrate the BCM framework and
processes to the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. As a critical facility operator, having an integrated view of ERM &
BCM is vital to ensure readiness for business disruption and critical risk exposure.
The BCM program will leverage on the ERM framework previously automated with Tricor Roots using the Q-RADAR System. The
integrated approach will ensure synergies are maximized and provide a comprehensive, yet cost effective process to manage the
Organisation’s ERM & BCM needs.

Earlier this month, the World Economic Forum (WEF) released its eighth annual
Global Risks Report, which lists the top global threats identified by a survey of
more than 1,000 experts.
Like last year’s report, severe income disparity and major systemic financial failure
were listed as the top causes of concern. After the extreme weather events of 2012,
rising greenhouse gas emissions and failure of climate change adaptation were the
next biggest threats over the next decade.
The report’s linkage of these two risks was of even greater importance.
"Two storms – environmental and economic – are on a collision course," said Oliver
Wyman chief executive John Drzik at the launch of the report. "If we don’t allocate
the resources needed to mitigate the rising risk from severe weather events, global
prosperity for future generations could be threatened."
