God’s work. Our hands.” Sunday, on Sept. 9
Trinity Lutheran church will once again engage in service work right here in our
community. We are one of nearly 9,300 congregations participating in “God’s work.
Our hands.” Sunday, on Sept. 9. Across the country, thousands of members will
engage in service work to make a positive change in our communities, build and
deepen relationships and share God’s love.
We have chosen this year to honor all the people that volunteer on the fire departments, emergency rescue and
ambulance service. These people are often taken for granted but are critical to our safety and well being. We are
planning on having a meal and planting a tree to memorialize our appreciation for their work at one of the parks.
We will be looking for people to help provide food for the meal and of course serve it on Sunday, September 9th.
We had a great turnout of help last year, had a lot of fun and fellowship and look forward to another successful day
of doing God’s work with our hands. Sign-ups for this day are available in the Narthex.
We want to thank everyone that

On September 18 at 7:00 the Trinity Book Club will meet at the home of Vi Sullivan to discuss Educated by Tara Westover. The book is a memoir about the author who, kept out of school, leaves her survivalist family in the mountains of Idaho and goes to earn a PhD from Cambridge. It’s an account of the struggle for self-invention with fierce family loyalty. Books may be checked out from the public library starting toward the end of August.
