    Mental Health Week 2016

World Mental Health Day is marked every year on the same date: 10th of October. Mental Health Week (9th- 15th Oct) aims to activate, educate and engage Victorians about mental health. It is designed to encourage all to look after their body, mind and spirit and a time to raise awareness of mental health issues. People with a mental illness can be among the most disadvantaged in society, and they often confront many barriers as a direct result of their illness. Stigma and discrimination is one major barrier and can often be worse than the illness itself. Changing perceptions about mental illness can go a long way towards breaking down some of the barriers that stigma and discrimination creates. During this week let us remember in our prayers all those who live with mental health difficulties.

Kathryn Pepper Religious Education Leader / Student Support

For those whose lives are burdened with the struggles

and stress of mental health difficulties … May our healing God lift their burdens, calm their

anxiety, and quiet their fears. Lord hear us.

For the families and loved ones of people with mental

health problems … May they find support for themselves and may our broader society continue to remove the stigma that

surrounds mental illness. Lord hear us.

For guidance for those who do research for the

prevention and treatment of mental illnesses … (Pause) May they be people of compassion and vision.

    Lord hear us.

Lord, allow us go into this week aware of those suffering mental illness in our community.

    Amen

TRINITY CAR PARK ETIQUETTE For greater safety and visibility, we are requesting that all

drivers reverse park into the marked bays.

The lane around the edge of the car park (closest to the oval) are for vehicles waiting to pick children up from the Pick-up Zone ONLY.

The two parking bays closest to the office path are the PICK-UP ZONES. These are NO STANDING zones. I f your children are not ready to get into your car as you pull up to the pick-up zone, you must continue on and rejoin the end of the pick-up queue.

There is NO RIGHT TURN when exiting the car park. All vehicles must turn left for the safety of others and to maintain traffic flow.

THE GATES CLOSE AT 9.00am AND RE-OPEN AT 3.00pm. Occasionally they might re-open slightly later due to school activities.
