Welcome Guests! We are glad you are here! Here are a few things we thought you would like to know to help you feel at home with us today:

Please accept one of the green bags that you will find on your way out of the front entrance of the sanctuary as our gift to you.

Restrooms are located in the large room adja-cent to the sanctuary. Our ushers will be glad to point you in the proper direction.

Children are always welcome to worship with us and sincerely, that is what we prefer. However, for your convenience, a nursery is available for parents with children 3 years old and younger who might wish to use it. The nursery is staffed during the 9:15 Bible Study Hour & 10:45am service. Parents may use this room during the 8:00am service as well, but the room

will not be staffed by volunteers. An usher will be happy to help you find the nursery room.

The offering is an opportunity for our members to support the Lord’s work at Trinity. As our guest, we ask only that you sign our Friendship Pad as it is passed down the pew.

When we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, we do so convinced that Jesus gives us His true body and blood for the forgiveness of our sins. Re-ceiving the Lord’s Supper here expresses not only fellowship with the Lord, but also agreement with the teachings of this congregation. There-fore communicant members of LC-MS congrega-tions are always welcome to commune with us, and other guests wishing to commune are kindly asked to speak with the pastor before the ser-vice. We cherish the opportunity to worship with all followers of Jesus, and we regret the sad divisions within Christianity. Whether you are

communing with us today or not, please join us (and Jesus!) in praying for truth and unity within His Church.

This facility is equipped with a hearing assis-tance system. Please ask an usher for a receiv-er.

We would love to have your family join us for our Summer Bible Study series: “Places of the Bible” that takes place Sunday mornings at 9:15am. Ask any of our members or the pastor and we will be happy to help you find your way and get settled in.

In Christ, Pastor Carl Lehenbauer

Daniel Reh and the Karenni Ministry

Ten years ago, with the encouragement of Pastor Kelm, members of our congregation decided to help sponsor a refugee family from… where? Karenni? Coming from a camp in Thailand? The original goal was to help that one family get settled with housing, school, and jobs, and help them assimilate into the local culture. Little did we know where the Lord would lead us! “Our” family was one of the first Karenni families to arrive in Milwaukee, but over the next several years, many families followed. Now over 200 Karenni live in Milwaukee.

Gradually, we learned that some new-arrivals had learned about Christianity while in the refugee camps, and wished to have a Christian worship service in Milwaukee. Pastor Kelm offered a service in the living room of an overheated apartment one February evening – and 70 people crowded in. It quickly became apparent that a larger space was needed for worship, and local pastors worked with Pastor Zeuschner from Lutheran Chapel of the Cross Church on the south side of Milwaukee to establish a more permanent church home. The pastors cre-ated a rotating schedule to offer church each week using a translator from their community.

After church, members of local congregations began Sunday School, English as a Second Language, and Citizenship classes. Bob Heiden offered special support to high school students. It was during this time that fifteen-year-old Su Reh came to Bob with a question from one of his assignments in his “Religions of the World” class at South Divi-sion High School. He had trouble understanding one of the reli-gions.... Christianity! Bob explained, but when they ran out of time, Bob offered to tell him more the following week. Su Reh said, “That’s okay – I’m Buddhist.”

With the support of Bob, the pastors, and others, Su Reh did come to know Jesus. In fact, he soon transferred to Milwau-kee Lutheran High School and encouraged several of his friends to do the same. He also began helping to translate during church services.

After graduating from MLHS, he enrolled at Concordia Uni-versity with the goal of becoming a pastor. During this time, he increased his role during the church services, eventually even leading some of them with sermons, prayer and guitar. He became a citizen as well and changed his name to Daniel Reh. Although it probably doesn’t seem short to Daniel, his time at Concordia seemed to pass quickly, and he is now headed to the Semi-

nary with the goal of serving in the full-time ministry among the Karenni.

Weekly Church Bulletin

FROM THE DESK OF CINDY MOLLWITZ

“If you build it, he will come” is a well-known quote from the 1989 film Field of Dreams. In the movie, Ray Kinsella [played by Kevin Costner], a struggling Iowa corn farmer, repeatedly heard a mysteri-ous voice whispering, “If you build it, he will come.” Ray listened to this voice. Facing the threat of financial ruin, he plowed up his corn-field to construct a baseball diamond. After the field was built, ghosts of legendary baseball players emerged from the surrounding fields to play ball. My husband Fred can attest to the frequent use of my own version of that famous quote, “Just because you build it, doesn’t mean that they will come.” After all, it’s more than just building “it”, you also need to invite people to “the field”. There’s a lot of building and re-building of ministries at Trinity right now and there’s also a lot of inviting. Unlike the voice that Ray heard, God’s voice is clear and calls us to action. In our largest minis-try, our school, His voice is prompting us to dream, build, develop, proclaim, and invite. And it’s no ordinary invitation - God’s finger-prints are all over it. He is at work in amazing ways and people are responding! After reflecting on what God is doing in this place, at this time, I’m going to change my version of that famous quote from Field of Dreams. My new version – “He will build it, He will come”. Please continue to pray for His guidance and presence in all that we

do. What a privilege it is to be invited by Him, to join in His mission –

TOGETHER!

The Seniors of Trinity will be holding their end of the season

picnic at the Prime Minister on June 6th at 1:00 PM.

Let Jerry Michels (262-623-6449) know by June 3rd

if you are planning on attending.

O give thanks unto the Lord for He is good: for his mercy endureth forever. Psalm 107:1 Heavenly Father, I thank You for my life and everything You have bestowed upon me and upon all people, this day and every day. I thank You for the good and bad, the understanding of for-giveness, and Your holy power, without which we would have nothing. I thank You this day for all Your blessings, Your gifts, Your never ending love for us. You and only You know us Father and You know if our hearts are true. So once again, I thank You with all my heart and soul. In the name of Christ I pray, Amen.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. Luke 4:18-19 We thank you, dear Father in heaven, for the many times you let us experience that we do not need to despair because of darkness, weakness, or sickness. You hear the desires of our hearts. You love us for all that we love when we love the Savior and when we praise his name. Let us re-main in this spirit. Come to us with many proofs of your power, to the glory of your name. Come in the inner quiet of heart through which we are able to grasp what it means for us that you are our Father in Jesus Christ. Amen. David & Rachel Baker, Rev. Stephen & Maggie Oliver serving in Taiwan, Tom & Emily Forke serv-

ing in Indonesia in the Peace Corps Our military, serving our country: Sarah Geidel (Reserves), Mark Liedtke (serving in Afghanistan),

JUNE PRAYER TOPIC: Overcoming Low Self-Esteem Dear God, I beg You to help me see my worth...I know I cannot look to others for my validation, but yet I do and the I feel broken and hurt when they let me down. Your Word tells me I am made beautiful in Your image and when I use the amazing gifts You put in my heart, then I have so much to share with the world. Lord, help me to believe it. Amen.

JOIN US FOR A WOMEN’S SUMMER BIBLE STUDY

Shattering the Lies We Believe The enemy wants us to believe lies because he wants to ruin our relationship with God. The good news is that lies have no power over us. During our time together we’ll unpack what scripture tells us about believing lies. By looking to scripture, we can define lies, discover where they come from, and learn how to break free from their grips. Women of high school age and older are welcome to join us.

PRE-REGISTRATION HELPFUL: Materials need to be ordered so we would appreciate knowing who will be

joining us. Please fill out this form and return to Lori in the church office by Friday, June 21st. THANK YOU! Names of those attending:
