Our nation has asserted a commitment to providing educational opportunity for all Americans regardless of race, ethnic background or economic circumstance.In support of this commitment, Congress established a series of programs to help low-income Americans enter college, graduate and move on to participate more fully in America's economic and social life. These Programs are funded under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and are referred to as the TRiO Programs.

Low-income and/or first generation college students
Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
Students with a disability can qualify
Interested in transferring to a four-year institution
WCCCDAdditional Requirements
Should have academic need and a GPA of 2.0 or higher
Have not earned an Associate Degree or higher and have earn
less than 30 credits
See the a transfer coordinator at least two times a semester.
Have progress reports completed twice each semester
Participate in at least three program activities each semester
Speak with the transfer coordinator before
adding/dropping any classes or changing class schedule.
Notify staff of changes in contact information
Currently enrolled at WCCCD taking at least 6 credit hours
