Trip to Israel, Dec-Jan 2012-2013:

Second week in Ra’anana:

Friday

Shaul, Shunia and Roi Hadar

On Friday the weather continued to be wet. After a late wake up, we rugged up well and went around the corner, to see the lovely

Hadar family. Barak and Roi are friends since

kindergarten. Hahgoot spent all the time drawing

and Alma got some unusual toys (their granddaughter,

also named Alma, is in Germany, so there aren’t

many toys around). The girls jumped in puddles

all the way home.

We came back for lunch and then a rest and a play.

Alma changed into some new clothes she got from Grandma Eti in our latest shopping trip.

In the afternoon Shachar picked us up and took us to Kfar Saba for dinner.

Until Shira woke up from her nap the girls enjoyed the dolls’ house and the Noah’s ark. When Shira was ready, she showed Alma how to eat vitamin C gummies and feed a doll formula.

Alma was introduced to the rest of the family (from left):

E.T. the cat, Shuna the dog

and Effie the elephant.

We all had a great time:

Playing together and on our own, chatting, barking...

Alma played with Hahgoot a bit (Hahgoot preferred to organize the Noah’s ark again and again) and a

lot with Shira (and her great toy collection).

There were so many things to explore... But climbing up and

down the armchair together was the biggest hit.

The girls really enjoyed dinner, especially the soup and pasta.

After dinner Marianna gave Alma some clothes that

didn’t fit Shira any longer and she liked them so much she refused to change back to

her original clothes.

A true fashion queen...

The girls played in boxes and Alma chose to hide in

the dog’s box. She found some surprises there that she wasn’t too

happy about...

Then the dessert was out: Shira’s favourite chocolate cake.

We asked the girls to carry it to the table and then took a lot of time to get the hot drinks

sorted. When we got out of the kitchen we found the girls sitting very quietly and politely and

eating the cake with their fingers...It was just too funny!

These girls are just too cute...

I would have eaten them up if I wasn’t too busy with the dessert myself...

We stayed there till very late.

As usual, it took nearly till midnight to get the girls to fall asleep (each night

was a wild battle to settle them).

We survived the “End of the World” (according to the Mayan prophesies) as today was the 21.12.2012, and nothing

happened, as predicted...
