Trouble Shooting
1. Continuous spray when the main lever (trigger ) is not pulled back:
a.Theneedleisnotseatedproperlyinthenozzle.Reseattheneedleby
unscrewingtheNeedleChuckingKnobtoreleasetheneedleandgently
pushingonthebackotheNeedleKnobwhileretighteningtheNeedle
ChuckingKnob.
b.TheTriple-ActionBarrelisbeingusedasaPre-Sethandleandnot
allowingthenozzletoullyclose.TurntheTriple-ActionBarreluntil
itistightontheairbrushbody.
c.TheNeedleKnobisnotpositionedcorrectlyontheneedle.
Repeatsteps3-8.
2. The Needle Knob does not spring back when loosing the Needle
Chucking Knob:
a.TheneedlespringisnotontheNeedleKnobAssembly.
b.Driedpaintiscausingtoomuchrictioninsidetheairbrush.
UseIwata-MedeaSUPERLUBEtolubricatethemainlever(trigger)area.
3. The Needle Knob does not attach to the needle when tightening
the set screw:
a.TheTriple-ActionBarrelisnotscrewedallthewayontotheairbrush
bodybeoreattachingtheNeedleKnob.RepeatSteps3-8.
b.TheNeedleKnob’ssetscrewistootightbeorepositioningitontothe needle.Loosenthesetscrewandrepeatstep3–8.
c.Thenozzleisdamagedallowingtheneedletomovetooarorwardin
theairbrush.Inspectnozzleandreplaceinecessary.
9. Firmlytightenthesetscrewby
turningtheAllenwrench.Take
carenottobendtheneedle
inside.TheNeedleKnobisnow
attachedtotheneedleinthe
correctposition.
10.PulltheNeedleKnobwiththe
attachedneedleouttheback
otheairbrush.(image9)
11.WiththeNeedleKnob assemblyremovedromthe
airbrush,slidetheNeedle
ChuckingKnobintotheback
othehandleandscrewitonto
theneedlechuckingguide
insidethehandle.Screwiton
untilthereisasmallamounto
resistance,butnotalltheway
downtothehandle.Then
unscrewoneullturntounlock.
