IMPORTANT: Before loading any PCG be sure to make a backup copy of all your

previous stuff. Save the data of banks A, B, C, D, E, you can do it entering in MediaMode. If you dont know how to do thisplease refer to Tritons owners manual.

1. First step

Once you have downloaded all the material unrar and copy to hard disk all the content ofthe .rar files.

Note that you will find folders and single files. For example if you want to load aninstrument called BrightPiano into the Triton you will find three elements associated to this

instrument:

a folder called BrightPiano

a file called BrightPiano.KSC

and another file called BrightPiano.PCG.

2. Burning a CDR

To burn a CD do the following procedure:

Lets suppose you have downloaded the following material:

AcousticPianosPart1.rar

AcousticPianosPart2.rarAcousticPianosPart3.rar

The hole uncompressed content of these three files fits into a CD (Call it CD1)

and...

SaxPart1.rarSaxPart2.rar

The hole uncompressed content of these two files fits into a CD (call it CD2)

Now you have to burn CD1 and CD2, it is important that you put into the CDs all the

content of the .rar files.

Burn the CDs with the lowest speed possible (x4 or x6), sometimes CDs burned in higher

speeds are not recognized by Triton's CD drive.

Then place CD1 into the Triton's CD drive and load any of the PCG files you'll find inside.

Do the same with the CD2

3. Smartmedia or SD card for Triton Le and Korg TR

To load the instruments into the TR/LE memory follow these steps:

Unrar and copy to hard disk all the content of the .rar files.

Once again note that you will find folders and single files. For example if you want to load

an instrument called BrightPiano into the Triton you will find three elements associated to

this instrument:

a folder called BrightPiano


and another file called BrightPiano.PCG

Copy these three elements to the Smartmedia and insert it into the keyboard. Now from

the keyboard you can load the instrument selecting the file BrightPiano.PCG and loadingit.

Repeat this procedure for every instrument.

4. Floppy Disk for Triton Rack and Triton Classic

To load the instruments into the Triton memory follow these steps:

Unrar and copy to hard disk all the content of the .rar files.

Once again note that you will find folders and single files. For example if you want to loadan instrument called BrightPiano into the Triton you will find three elements associated to

this instrument:

a folder called BrightPiano (containing the audio samples data)


and another file called BrightPiano.PCG.

Copy these three elements to a standard floppy disk and insert it into the keyboard. Now

from the Triton you can load the instrument selecting the file BrightPiano.PCG and loadingit.

Using the floppy disk drive you can load instruments with a size of 1.3MB or less. You can

load many instruments up to fulfill the triton's memory. But you'll find many instruments

that fit into a single floppy and many others that need several floppys to be loaded.

When you get an instrument larger than 1.3MB you have to divide the folder containing the

audio samples between several floppy disks: i.e. if the BrightPiano folder have a size of3.5MB you will need 3 floppy disks, then from the PC create a folder called BrightPiano

into each disk and copy as much sample data up to fill the floppy capacity.

5. Loading PCG files inside Tritons memory

IMPORTANT: Before loading any PCG be sure to make a backup copy of all your

previous stuff. Save the data of banks A, B, C, D, E, you can do it entering in MediaMode. If you dont know how to do thisplease refer to Tritons owners manual.

With the entire material burned in CD or handled with a Smartmedia card proceed as

follows:

First of all consider that you will manage sample data, so it means that each PCG file haveits audio material associated and this consume a lot of ram memory.

Load the desired PCG file (it will be loaded into first program of bank A) test it and if you

like it copy this first program of bank A to any program in bank E.

When you load any of this PCG files (for example a file called TenorSax.PCG) you will findthis instrument placed into the first program of bank A. Also you will note that the rest of

the programs in bank A will be erased, but dont be afraid because you can recover themfrom the backup copy you have saved.

You can do this with all the PCG files you want up to fill ram memory. It is imperative to do

it this way because each user has a different amount of ram and each file has a differentsize.

So if you have 16 megabytes of ram in your Triton for example, you will be able to load 2files of 8 megabytes, or 16 files of 1 megabyte, or one file of 16 megabytes, and so...

Once you have your bank E ready with all the PCG files you need, then you can load your

bank A to recover the 128 Triton's original programs.

6. Ram Memory

There is one thing you have to take care, the total ram memory that you have available inyour Triton. Before loading these sounds be sure to have enough ram. In other case you

must erase any sample in ram to make room.

7. Korg TR and Triton LE compatibility note

These sounds were programmed with a Triton Studio, and because some parametersdiffer from one model to other you will notice that there are some PCG programs that

arent 100% compatible with the TR/LE models. The most common problems are witheffects and volume settings.Fortunately all the sample data found into the .KMP and .KSF files are totally compatible

with the TR/LE. So there are two ways to solve this problem:

1. Go to Media Mode and load just the desired .KMP, do not load PCGs at all.

In Program Mode create a blank program from scratch and then edit thatprogram and assign the new sample data.

You can do it from OSC1 ? MULTISAMPLE. Choose RAM memory and findthe sample you have loaded.

If you want you can make any other editing as Octave, Transpose, Envelope orany effect change.

When it is finished write and save this new program.

2. The other way is similar but starting from an existing program

Go to Media Mode and load just the desired .KMP, do not load PCGs.

Then go to Program Mode and select a similar program to the one you are

looking for (whether you loaded a piano KMP sample then select a pianoprogram, whether you loaded a string just look for a string in Program Mode)

Now edit that program. Go to OSC1 ? MULTISAMPLE and choose RAMmemory and find the sample you have loaded.

If you want you can make any other editing as Octave, Transpose or any effect

change.

When it is finished write and save this new program.
