Troubleshooting: The GM EPC 4 requires Internet Explorer (IE) internet browser. Only IE can show the exploded views, so the first step to take is checking what browser you are trying to open EPC in. It can happen, that although you saved our web shop to your favorites in IE, the shortcut from your desktop uses your default(and non-IE) browser. If you would like to launch EPC from your desktop, you will have to look out for the following: This is right:

This is wrong(or at least, will not work)

The program can become unstable under IE 6. If that is the case, try updating to IE8.

Updating IE is quite simple, so I would not go into details.

The most common problem is the popup window blocking. What happens is, that the browser thinks the popup is an advertisement, and blocks it. If this is the case, you’ll get a notification about it.

Click OK, then click on the white line under the open tab, that says Pop-up window blocked…then click „allow popup’s from this site permanently”

You can also disable Pop-up blocking from the „Tools” menu, in Internet settings/Privacy tab => uncheck „Block Pop-up windows”

It might happen that after you have updated the IE, the program asks you to install the picture viewer plugin. In this case, you will only have to follow the instructions on the screen

After downloading the picture viewer plugin, you will have to allow it to run. You will be notified about this in the white rectangle under the top of the window.

Click on this white rectangle with the Right mouse button and choose „run plugin” We will get one last notification, stating that we have to restart the browser. After doing so, the EPC should work just fine.
