Latest physical theories speculate that the universe consists only of space, time and energy. Lower the temperature of very pure and still water and the water will not become ice. Water re-mains liquid even if you lower the temperature low below zero. This phenomenon is called super cooled water. If you drop into this water a tiny ice crystal the water instantly starts to form ice. The tiny crystal gave the information to water molecules how to properly align and organize to form ice. Without this information there must be a random alignment to start forming the ice

which takes a lot more time.

This is a perfect demonstration of importance of information in elementary world. And we as hu-man beings consist mainly of water!
