On the occasion of the historic Foundation Day, each continent was asked by the World Mission Headquarters to produce and offer a publication that summarizes the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind’s great lifetime achievements, encapsulates the course of the providence on each continent and which can be used as educational material for future generations.

Offering of the publications of True Parents’ Life Achievements volume 1 and 2 at the celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of the Unification Movement in Vienna, Austria (May 10, 2015) This second volume of Footprints of True Parents’ Providence in Europe is an amazing

testimony to the fruits of our precious True Parents, Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak

Ja Han Moon, as it traces the development of God’s providence in Europe, springing from

their example and practice of God’s true love. It is published at a timely moment, to be

presented to True Parents on Sunday, May 10, 2015, in Vienna, Austria, as True Mother

joins us to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the mission in Europe.

The Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity was fist established

in Europe on December 11, 1964, in Frankfurt, Germany. In the spring of 1965, True

Parents despatched pioneers to begin the mission in the United Kingdom, Italy, Austria

and the Netherlands. In July and August of 1965, during their First World Tour, True

Parents watered and nurtured those fist seeds and prepared the ground for new

planting as they established nineteen Holy Grounds in sixteen European nations over a

period of forty days.

Those seeds grew into fruit as young European Unificationists, inspired by True Parents’

teaching and example, offered their hearts, bodies and souls not only to develop the

providence in Europe but also to serve the wider world as members of the International

One World Crusade, international missionaries to 120 nations and underground

missionaries behind the Iron Curtain.

Throughout these five decades True Parents continued to visit Europe to bring the

essence of salvation through the Holy Marriage Blessing, to launch the Home Church

Providence, to initiate the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles and call

for the fall of the Soviet Empire and the Berlin Wall, to pair together Western and

Eastern European nations and to inaugurate the Women’s Federation for World Peace

and the Universal Peace Federation.

In April and May 2011 they made their final visit together to Europe to declare the

Settlement of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind and the proclamation

of the word by God’s Substantial Self, calling on European blessed families to “become

heavenly bridges for all your relatives and the members of your clan that are around

you, and a God-centered leader that can guide your clan to God’s kingdom.”

In 2014 True Mother visited Switzerland and reminded us of the providential

contribution of Christianity and our European Continent:

Christianity was the religion that restored the bride. You must understand this. Through

Jesus Christ, two thousand years ago, Heaven’s providence led to the emergence of the True

Parents and the formation of a national foundation. Though Rome, God cleared the path

for this national foundation to expand to the world. This time, I had the chance to see

many famous mountains along the Alpine Range. I learned that historical missionaries had

ventured to neighbouring nations through the Alps. Didn’t True Father speak about how

the five nations were connected centered on the Alps? I saw with my own eyes the historic

facts and evidence of those who paved the mission path beyond these mountains. (True

We offer this second volume as a precious record of True Parents’ fruits in Europe with

the heart to respond to their love by becoming true owners of Cheon Il Guk, who

practice true love in resemblance to our Creator, the Heavenly Parent.
