TRUE PATRIOT LOVE FOUNDATIONTrue Patriot Love Foundation is a national charity that is changing the lives of military and Veteran families across Canada. By funding programs that support mental health, physical rehabilitation, transition to life after service, and the unique needs of children and families, we’ve helped 25,000 military and Veteran families in need over the past decade through more than 750 community-based programs. In addition, True Patriot Love contributes to advancements in research and technology through our $5 million commitment to the Canadian Institute for Military and Veterans Health Research (Queen’s University).

Below are a few examples of the initiatives we’re proud to support.

Veterans Transition Network

A group treatment program that helps Veterans living with symptoms of operational stress injury as they transition more successfully into civilian life.

An award-winning organization that delivers skill-based distance learning for children, youth and families to help overcome mild to moderate mental health and/or behavioural concerns.

Strongest Families Institute

Project Trauma Support

A six-day psychotherapy program that helps military members, Veterans and First Responders process past traumatic events to mitigate the symptoms of PTSD and moral injury and improve quality of life.

The Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research is focused on research devoted to the health and well-being of those who protect and serve Canadians at home and abroad.

ABOUT THE EVENTTrue Patriot Love Annual Tribute Gala The True Patriot Love Annual Tribute Gala is our signature fundraising event and Canada’s largest celebration in support of military members, Veterans and their families. The event brings together influential business and community leaders, distinguished military representatives and dignitaries to pay tribute to the military community and honour the sacrifices they have made for our nation.

Our first Tribute Gala took place more than 10 years ago and has since become our key fundraising event each year, with nearly $20 million raised over the past decade for military and Veteran families in need.

Looking Back at the 2018 Tribute GalaOn November 8, 2018, Toronto’s corporate and community leaders came together to celebrate the 10th Annual Tribute Gala. Through powerful storytelling, this milestone event brought to light the critical issues facing Canadian military and Veteran families. With over 950 guests in attendance, the event raised more than $1.4 milllion, and through onsite fundraising 200 children will have an opportunity to attend camp in 2019.

Our goal is to raise $1.5 million at the 2019 Gala for Canada’s men and women in uniform,

and their families. We need your help to get there.

True Patriot Love Toronto Tribute Gala. The silent auction included one-of-a-kind military helmets hand-painted by local artists as VIPs

sipped on Henry Of Pelham Cuvée Catharine Rosé Brut in the Air Can-ada lounge and a live jazz band serenaded the crowd. Over dinner, Bell Canada CEO George Cope was awarded the 2018 Patriot Award for his significant contribution to Canada’s military community, particularly in

the area of access to much-needed mental health services.
