LIU project - Malika Meddahi
David Hay & Simon Mataguez EDMS1509577
The goal of this year, if the ECR of a certain activity cannot be prepared in 2015, then the relative SRR should be submitted before the end of 2015.

ACC-CONS project - Michael Benedikt STATUS
• Project was launched in 2003/2004 (AB consolidation) to guarantee long-term accelerator
complex operation in view of the LHC program.
• CERN’s Activity Planning Tool ((APT) application https://apt.cern.ch/apt/gui/) used as central tool
for handling and tracking all accelerator consolidation requests
• Two consolidation “reviews” each year, April (to update MTP) and October (carry-over & last minute actions)
• First review was completed end 2014:
• No changes to already approved and ongoing WUs
• Considered only requests STARTING in year 2015
David Hay & Simon Mataguez EDMS1509577
ACC-CONS project - Michael Benedikt PROCEDURE
• All consolidation centralized in APT
• Soon Standardized EDMS (Consolidation Program WU Description) documentation
accompanying each consolidation request:Context and scope of the consolidation activity
Risk analysis description
Proposed technical solution
Description, alternatives, replacement vs. renewal, etc.
Impact of consolidation
Effect on future operation, maintenance needs & cost, lifetime, homogenization of equipment, safety …
Impact of implementation on other technical systems, projects and technical groups

Long Shutdown 2 (LS2) ProjectLS2 coordinator Jose Miguel Jimenez
The preparation, coordination and follow-up till completion of all LS2 activities in the frame of the LIU, HL-LHC Projects and other CERN approved projects.
LS2 activities: Tool Plan (https://plan.cern.ch/plan/)
• Main milestones:
• LS1 Post Mortem: 1st trimester’15
• Start date: 1st July 2018;
• Duration: 18 months (end’19)
• Yearly “LS2 day” as of 2015
• Activities declared in Plan by end’15 both for injectors and LHC;
• Mid’16, definition of activities for EYETS 2016 and for LS2;
• Preliminary “final” validation: mid 2017.

Training
• The first IMPACT training is now available to all people with a CERN login on the SIR platform.
“Intervention Management Planning and Coordination Tool (IMPACT) - Fundamentals”
• New safety courses and New conditions for access rights in Beam Facilities (Mostly to be enforced on May 11 !)
(Please have a look on the presentation from Marc Tavlet, at the IEFC on 24th April, about the new courses for access conditions. https://indico.cern.ch/event/389721/contribution/12/1/material/slides/1.pdf )
• CERN Beam Facilities• Machine-specific courses• Introduction of “ranks” in ADaMS
