1 | Page TECHNICAL TRAINING & RESEARCH CENTRE (TTRC) (A skill training division of LOHIA CORP LIMITED, KANPUR, India) TECHNICAL TRAINING & RESEARCH CENTRE (TTRC), conceptualized by LOHIA Group as an independent skill training division of Lohia Corp Ltd. & was established at Kanpur, India at a dedicated Premises (Land area of about 9.75 Acre) The prime objective of the “TTRC” initiative by Lohia group is to impart practical oriented training to youth (Vocational training model) with necessary skills to transform them employable for Industry particularly in growing field of Raffia sector, which requires large number of trained manpower for productivity & quality improvement. Investment of about Rs 10 crores made by Lohia group to create Building, Workshop, Hostel & Training Infrastructure including Plant & machinery, Lab facilities (Total Constructed area of 5700 Sqm) From September’2012, LOHIA- TTRC has started skill training programs for producing Operators & Supervisors. National Skill Development Agency (NSDA), apex body of Govt of India shortlisted LOHIA-TTRC’s skill programs as an Innovative scheme for the raffia sector. ( http://www.nsda.gov.in/ContentPage/contentindexpage.html?name=skillII) Recognizing LOHIA-TTRC’s expertise, Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)- A Govt of India Institute under Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, has signed an MoU in July 2014 for skill training support in field of Raffia or Plastics Woven sack sector. In 2015, PlastIndia Foundation- a National Industry body of Plastics Associations in India shortlisted LOHIA TTRC as one of the best Institution contributing for the Plastics Education & training. As on April 30,2016, LOHIA-TTRC has trained around 1000 technical personnel (Operators, Supervisors & Engineers) through specialized skill training programs

with 100% placement record. Our future plan is to scale up training activities at

TTRC Kanpur to train 5000 persons per year by 2022.

• As on April 30’2016, about 50 trained Operators & Supervisors are gainfully

employed in other countries like Qatar, Jordan, Republic of Guinea, Egypt who is

earning in US$ (Min monthly saving is US$400 to US$ 600 per month)

• For Skill training in Raffia Sector, LOHIA-TTRC has gradually become an

International skill training center with candidates from Bangladesh, Kenya,

Uganda, Qatar, Egypt have been enrolling for various skill cum technical training

programs.
