DERRIS (TUBLI) ROOTS FOR THE CONTROL OF GOLDENSNAIL

Tubli roots can be applied by broadcasting or spraying to control golden snail infesting rice fields. In the broadcast method,

finely chopped tubli are scattered in either transplanted or direct-seeded fields. On the other hand, for spraying rice fields,

tubli roots are chopped, crushed and then soaked in water for 24 hours. The resulting liquid is dispensed using a knapsack

sprayed.
