This three part sermon series will explore how to handle and eventually heal from wounds caused by others, wounds self-inflicted upon our own souls, and what to do when we are the source of other people’s injury. All of us are wounded worshipers, people who love God, but carry scars and bruises sometimes caused by people and institutions representing the God we love. This series will give you the tools to heal and the encouragement to carry on.

The Justice Watch Team of Trinity UCC presents
2018 Human Rights SummitTODAY! Sunday, April 15, 2018 | 3:00pm - 4:30pm
Trinity UCC - AtriumBelieve it or not, the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights applies to us. Rights that stand against torture, against slavery, the right to be considered innocent until proven guilty, the right to a fair and public trial, and many other basic human rights.
Unfortunately, many of us are not aware of these rights, and even if we know, have no idea how to make these rights a reality in our lives.
At the 2018 Human Rights Summit, we are bringing together a host of partners to educate us, and to give us the knowledge to activate the power of our human rights in our fights for justice in American, and the world. Join us for this empowering summit as we add a critical resource for our continued battle for justice. Partners will include: International Association of Black Lawyers & Nation Council of Black Lawyers, HBCU coalition/IHRAAM at CSU, U.S. Human Rights Network, Human Rights Cities Alliance, and the Village Leadership Academy.

Serving effectively on a jury is one of the most powerful acts citizens perform. In elections we vote for individuals to represent us, as jurists we vote to determine justice for specific individuals – our neighbors and fellow citizens.
The program will include an educational component, an enactment of a jury room, and ample time for questions and answers.
Come to this forum to learn your rights as a juror! YOU HAVE MORE POWER THAN YOU THINK!

Attorney James Montgomery
Sunday, April 22, 2018 Over the past six decades, Attorney James D. Montgomery, Sr., has transformed a blank canvas into a colorful legal landscape of successful civil and criminal cases. Some of these cases will be discussed, analyzed, and written about for years to come. The authors and researchers of full circle have been gathering primary and secondary research since May, 2015. Multiple in-depth interviews with Atty. Montgomery have revealed a person with deep and honest reflections about his life, his impact on society, and how his family, peers, and history will recall him and his contributions.
Atty. Montgomery will be signing copies of his biography, full circle: race, Law & Justice, after the 7:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services.
