Now Accepting Kindergarten Applications for the 2020-2021 Lottery!
Coney Island Prep is now accepting Kindergarten applications for the 2020-2021 lottery! As a note, your child must be 5 by December 31, 2020 in order to apply. You can apply online at
coneyislandprep.org/enroll.
As a reminder, siblings of current Coney Island Prep scholars get priority, along scholars of CIP staff, families living in District 21 and English Language Learners. If your child
currently attends CIP and you are submitting an application for your other child(ren), please email a copy of both scholar's birth certificates to [email protected] so that we can
apply the sibling priority.
Scholar Punctuality We've noticed that there have been numerous incidents of
scholars arriving late to school. A majority of the reason is due to scholars hanging out with friends in the morning. We know
that you expect your scholar to leave the house on time to arrive at school on time. We ask for your help in ensuring that they come directly to school every morning. As a reminder, our
arrival starts at 7:35 am. Scholars are considered late at 7:51 am. Thank you for your collaboration.
Middle School Audit (Mon.11/4)
Thank you to all the families that joined us at our first Family Council meeting. We want your opinion, voice, and help in
making CIP the best middle school it can be!
Here's the next opportunity to share your opinion:
Middle School Audit on Mon. 11/4 (Time: TBD) Twice a year, our network leaders have formal observations and
talk to students, teachers, and now families about how the middle school is doing overall. We would love to have 5-6
families join us on Monday, 11/4 (Morning, exact time: TBD) for that convo so that we can get your feedback on how
to improve. If you can't join us in person, we can do a conference call! If you are interested in participating, please
contact Ashley Williams at [email protected] or (929) 275-5879.
