Cellular respiration is a process that changes energy from food into energy for cells.

Organisms take in glucose and oxygen and make energy (ATP) and release carbon dioxide and water.

Cellular respiration is aerobic because it needs oxygen. When cells need more energy, you have to breathe harder to bring in oxygen.
