Dear Current School Volunteers, In 2012 the Diocesan Office of Child and Youth Protection updated the for-mer training entitled “Safe in Place,” to the new train-ing, “Recognizing Child Abuse,” due to a change in laws regarding mandatory reporting. If you have not completed the updated training entitled “Recognizing Child Abuse,” you must do so in order to volunteer at Sacred Heart School. Please do so as soon as possible, no later than December 9. To access the online train-ing, visit the website by clicking here, then select “Safe and Sacred Online Training Center” on the left. You will then long-in and access the training “Recogniz-ing Child Abuse.” If you have completed the training, the system will not allow you to access it again and you are in compliance. Upon completing the training, have the certificate emailed to me ([email protected]). Please email me if you have any ques-tions or problems. Thank you for your cooperation.
