WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THOSE MEN?
GROWTH
The world’s population has ballooned from 2.5 billion to nearly 7 billion people since 1950, as shown in the chart from the Economist.
To put that in better perspective, it took 250 million years to reach 2.5 billion people, but only 60 years to add another 4.5 million people.
GROWTH CONSEQUENCESThis dramatic population growth has led to unprecedented levels of global consumption and demand for the earth’s limited supply of natural resources.
The chart below from the Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center (CDIAC) shows the sharp increase in global carbon emissions that has accompanied the dramatic population growth and economic development since 1950.
WHAT’S BEHIND INTERNATIONAL GROWTH?
HEAVY TRENDS AFFECTING THE GLOBAL ECONOMY
1. International trade is increasing faster than wealth production
2. The overall supply of goods and services has far exceeded the aggregate demand
3. Fragmentation of value chains and increase of South-South trades
4. The service sector of the economy is taking larger magnitude
5. The advent of the cognitive era, with a new perception of Time and ... the Living.

PARADOXE
Growth is not necessary helping humanity to get better life and well being
Does Man evolve because he changes? …Or does he change because he evolves?
Tools producer
Machines producer
Energy producer
Living materials producer
PRECONCEPTION
Scientific progress is infinite, ….. then growth is also infinite!
BACK TO NATURE LAW
Nothing can grow forever ...
There is an overall balance called Nature.
The production of wealth has an impact on ecosystems
Nothing is created, nothing is lost, everything is transformed.
