    Sheet Metal Ducts - Acoustical Lining Insulation

    PART 1.00 - GENERAL

    1.01 Summary

    A. The work covered by this specification consists of furnishing all labor e!uip"ent "aterials andaccessories and perfor"ing all operations re!uired for correct fabrication and installation of airduct syste"s of sheet "etal lined with fibrous glass duct liner in accordance with applicable pro#ectdrawings and specifications sub#ect to ter"s and conditions of the contract$

    A. All portions of duct designated to receive duct liner shall be co"pletely covered with duct liner. All#oints shall be neatly butted and there shall be no interruptions or gaps. Duct liner shall be installedwith the 3rinted air strea" surface treat"ent e%posed to the air strea".

    4. Duct liner shall be adhered to the sheet "etal with 0( *"ini"u" coverage of adhesive co"plyingwith the re!uire"ents of ASTM , 0+1.

    ,. All transverse edges that are not to receive sheet "etal nosing shall be coated. Longitudinal #ointsshall occur at the corners of ducts. If duct siFe and standard duct liner product di"ensions "ake

    e%posed longitudinal #oints necessary such #oints shall be coated with adhesive designated for ductliner application and which "eets the re!uire"ents of ASTM , 0+1. Such #oints shall beadditionally secured with "echanical fasteners in accordance with 2AIMA )5DLS or SMA,2A69A, D,S as if they were transverse #oints.

    D. Duct liner shall be additionally secured with "echanical fasteners co"plying with the re!uire"ents
