Control System Overview - Block Diagram
Operations
General Description of Basic Operation
The control system includes the control board, wiring harness, power cord, light bulb,
compressor motor & NTC sensor.
The control board manages the on/off cycles of the compressor motor.
The control board monitors also the ambient sensor.
The light bulb is controlled by mechanical switch. There is no AC feedback input in the
control board.
Operations
Service State
Service State
This state is engaged when the Service technician interacts with the appliance in order to check if it is working
properly or not. During the firsts 30sec after the product energizing, independently of any other consideration, the
system will search for the Service Password.
The „Service‟ state will be engaged when:
1. Set-point == Eco
2. The Service technician presses and hold for 5sec the temperature setting push button SW1
Service state functional behavior
After entering in „Service‟ state, the compressor load & the LED3 (Jet Freezing (yellow)), LED2 (green), LED1 (green)
will be turned OFF.
The LED4 (Alarm (red)) will be forced ON.
The Service technician will use the temperature setting push button SW1 (waiting at least 3sec since the „Service‟
mode activation) to advance the steps of the „Service‟ state mode in order to evaluate the loads behavior and the
LED‟s/push button functionality. The LED‟s will be turned ON/OFF according to the following sequence:
Operations
Service State
End of „Service‟ Mode:
· When reached the last step (5), press the temperature setting push button SW1 once more to
show test results
· Time-out of service State: 10min
Operations
Fail Message state
Test result:
When service test is finished, result can be:
· PASS
Conditions:
· End service mode by end service & temperature sensor is OK
System Action:
· All LED‟s ON for 1sec. then all LED‟s OFF for 1 sec. then the default set point engage
NOT PASS
Conditions:
- Temperature sensor fails or timeout
Service State FAIL:
· Transition 1: done automatically after 2s from the current state start
· Transition 2: performed after SW1 becomes pressed
· Transition 3: done automatically after 2sec from the current state start
· Immediately after entering the „Power up‟ state, the default set point will be restored
FAIL Message state:
In case of a sensor defect, all LED‟s will blink.
Operations
Check Software version, Service Bit Alarm Code routine
User action:
· During the first step of the service test routine, press the temperature setting push button SW1 for 5sec
System Action:
· show the software version, Service bit information and the Alarms information as described below:
Transition Action:
· Transitions 1 to 3 occur when the user presses the button SW1
End System Action:
· After transition 3 return to ‘Service’ routine, step 2
Operations
Software version state
System Action:
· Show the software version according to the table below:
Operations
Service Bit state
System Action:
· show the ‘Service’ bit state according to the table below:
Service routine completed:
· All points of previous service test have been done.
Service Mode not finalized or end service by time-out:
· Time-out of previous service State: 10min
Operations
Alarm Information state
System Action:
· Show last alarm stored into non-volatile memory.
Just one alarm will be saved into the non-volatile memory and shown through the User Interface
following the indication as defined in the table below.
NOTE:
Immediately after Test Procedure engagement, the default start conditions shall be restored in the
not volatile memory in order to have the DEFAULT parameters configuration at next power up.

ECO -13,1 °C -13,3°C
Normal -14,9 °C -15,1°C
Intensive -16,7°C -16,9°C
Fast Freezing compressor runs continuously 50 hours
Jet Freezing compressor runs continuously 6 hours
Sensor failure mode:
If the sensor becomes unreliable, the compressor will be time driven
· 15min OFF
· 45min ON
until the failure condition disappears.
Operations
Alarms
Over temperature Alarm
This alarm will provide a warning signal to the user if a dangerous Over temperature has been achieved during the
normal operation mode due to whatever causes (door not closed, damaged gasket, etc.).
Alarms priorities
Here below the alarms priorities:
1. Sensor failure
2. Over temperature alarm
Over temperature alarm shall be activated if (T > -8°C) since at least 30min. this condition does not apply at the plug in.
It is turned automatically off if (T < -9°C).
If the over temperature alarm becomes engaged:
· LED4 will blink
If the over temperature alarm becomes disengaged:
· LED4 will stop blinking
Over temperature alarm status will be saved in the non volatile memory only if:
T > -8°C AND Product_On > PRODUCT_TIME_ON (6h)
