Il presidente della Regione Toscana Enrico Rossi ha tagliato il nastro della prima edizione dell’evento assicurando il sostegno della sua istituzione per i prossimi tre anni.

Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous ha soddisfatto tutti: organizzatori, costruttori, ospiti e partecipanti. Nelle darsene del primo distretto nautico del mondo si è vista una qualificata rappresentanza del settore e un’industria viva e vicina al territorio. Molto buona l’idea di coinvolgere i laboratori, le officine e gli ship chandlers di via Coppino e dintorni con gli espositori. Un evento nell’evento. Dei 18.324 visitatori il 9% arrivava da paesi Europei (Spagna, Francia, Germania, Inghilterra e Olanda) e quasi il 3% da paesi extra-Ue (Usa, Russia, Eau, Cina e Sudamerica). Lungo le darsene di Viareggio erano ormeggiate 72 imbarcazioni. In totale sono state 117 le aziende espositrici, tra cantieri, accessori e componenti della filiera produttiva e dei servizi di eccellenza legati al comparto.

«Aver realizzato in tempi così brevi una manifestazione di questo livello ci riempie di orgoglio e soddisfazione – dichiara Paolo Borgio, exhibition manager del Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous – Noi di Fiera Milano abbiamo messo a disposizione tutta la nostra professionalità nell’organizzazione e gestione dei grandi eventi fieristici al fine di garantire un appuntamento con le caratteristiche vincenti che tutti ci aspettavamo. È stata un’eccellente vetrina per la nautica italiana e internazionale».

Secondo Lamberto Tacoli, presidente di Nautica Italiana e di Perini Navi, la prima edizione del Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous ha avuto un significato molto importante per l’associazione: «Il format che abbiamo proposto ha funzionato, abbiamo realizzato un evento nuovo, outdoor, a primavera dedicato all’alto di gamma delle imbarcazioni e della filiera nautica. Siamo consapevoli che la sfida per la prossima edizione è molto alta: infatti ciò che quest’anno era tracciato l’anno prossimo dovrà essere sviluppato». Vincenzo Poerio, presidente del Distretto della Nautica e della Portualità Toscana e amministratore delegato di Benetti ha affermato: «Alcuni obiettivi sono già stati raggiunti nel corso di questa edizione numero zero che permette a Viareggio di riacquisire slancio ed energia positiva anche nella sua quotidianità e

could be seen on the quays of the world’s number one nautical district. It was a very good idea to also get the workshops, repair shops and ship chandlers of Via Coppino and surrounding streets involved with the exhibitors. It was an event within an event. Of the 18,324 visitors, 9% were from European countries (Spain, France, Germany, England and Holland) and nearly 3% from non-EU countries (US, Russia, UAE, China and South America). 72 boats were moored in the Viareggio harbour. components of the production process and top-level services connected to the sector. «Having put together a show like this in a very reduced time frame fills us with pride and satisfaction». – says Paolo Borgio, exhibition manager of Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous – «At Fiera Milano we drew on our considerable experience in organising and managing large trade exhibitions so as to create an event with the winning characteristics that all of us hoped for. It was an excellent showcase for Italian and international yachting».

Lamberto Tacoli, president of Nautica Italiana and Perini Navi, says the first edition of Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous has had a very significant impact on the

association: «The format that we put forward worked, we created a new, outdoor event, held in spring which focused on high-end boats and the nautical supply chain. We are aware that the challenge for the next edition is a tough one: indeed, what we sketched out this year, next year will have to be fully developed». Vincenzo Poerio, president of the Tuscan Nautical Affairs and Harbours Authority and managing director of Benetti said: «Some aims have already been met during this “number zero” edition, which means that Viareggio can get back some impetus and positive energy, even on a day-to-day basis, and means that we can restore pride to the nautical district, to the shipyards and the firms.

The agreement signed with the Tuscany Regional Authority and Viareggio City Hall launches the event for the coming three years. This enables a collaboration that provides stability and strength to this unique event, held in a special location where one can show world-renowned top-level yachting output in the place where it is constructed. Along a street, Via Coppino, and those around it, it is almost as if we found ourselves in an open-air factory: over the past few days, this impression has been all the more real and tangible. The organisation of this event is proof of a new way of being Italian. We are not just lovers of style, of luxury and of beautiful things, but we have a strong drive to work together with pride and love for ourselves and for our abilities». n
