TUTORIAL 1 - HOW TO DRAW CROSS-SECTION AND LONG-SECTION USING AUTOCAD
Open the drawing file. Indicate the centre line for the cross section to be drawn(red lines).
Create offset lines based on the reference lines.

Label offset lines with number.
Choose/focus to a chainage. The number in the circle represents the lines number.
Interpolate a point at every intersection of lines (line 1-20 and CH220m).
Eg: Create point

Click OK to set settings.
Select or put the plan scale.

Set units.
Set text heights.

Set decimal place and click OK.
Then, click at the ‘Utilities’ and choose ‘Cse-Draw Cross section’

Set settings for the cross-section. The ‘Height Datum’ is choose based on the lowest height values.
Click ‘OSNAP’ and choose ‘Settings’.

Click at the ‘Node’ and ‘OK’.
Select points one by one from the left to the right (20,19,18,....,1)).
In this case, I choose line 20 as the first point and line 1 as the last point.

Once finished selecting the points, right-click at the mouse.
The command will ask you to ‘pick the centre point’. Choose point at line 0 as the centre point.
Choose a place to show the cross-section

Indicate or label the points (eg: slope, boundry line, etc) in the cross-section drawing.
To draw long-section, the steps used are same but the only different part is the selection of
points.
