The Network18 ( earlier TV 18 ) Group is one of India's leading
media companies with interests in television, internet, filmed
entertainment, e-commerce, magazines, mobile content and alliedbusinesses.. Network 18 is the holding company for several media
entities in India such as Television Eighteen India Ltd (TV18),
IBN 18 Broadcast Ltd, Web 18, Studio 18,Shop 18,Infomedia 18
and Viacom 18. Raghav Bahl holds 51% shares of Network 18
Group. The group includes Network18, TV18, ibn18 and
Infomedia18, all of which are listed in India on NSE & BSE.
History
The company was incorporated as a private limited company on
16th February 1996. In 2006, it was converted to a public limited
company. The name of the company was changed from SGA
Finance & Management Services Private Limited to Network 18
Fincap Private Limited with effect from April 12, 2006. Network
18 got listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National
Stock Exchange on 2nd February 2007.
Companies
This includes India's leading business news channels - CNBC-
TV18 and CNBC Awaaz, India's premier general news channels
CNN-IBN and IBN 7, and IBN-Lokmat, a leading Marathi
regional news channel in partnership with the Lokmat group.
'TV18 Broadcast' also operates a joint venture with Viacom, called
Viacom18, which houses a portfolio of India's market leadingentertainment channels Colors, MTV, VH1 and Nick - and
Viacom18 Motion Pictures, the group's filmed entertainment
business. In a pioneering foray into television distribution, the
group has established a strategic alliance with Sun Group, SUN18,
the first truly Pan-India distribution company and slated to be one

of the biggest distribution entities in the market. The group has
also recently announced a move into the Indian factual
entertainment space through AETN18, a joint venture with A+E
Networks which operates acclaimed global brands like History,

one of India's largest internet players Web18 which houses the
country's leading web content properties such as

THE LOKMAT GROUP
Lokmat Group is one of the leading publishing houses of India. It
publishes newspapers in three languages Lokmat (Marathi),
Lokmat Samachar (Hindi) and Lokmat Times (English). Lokmat isthe No. 1 Marathi newspaper in Maharashtra with 11 editions and a

Raghav Bahl, 48 years, is the Founder, Controlling Shareholder
and Managing Director of Network 18. Raghav began his career as
a management consultant with A.F. Ferguson & Co. followed by a
stint with American Express Bank before he turned to his first
love, media. Winner of the Sanskriti Award for Journalism in
1994, Raghav has over 22 years experience in television and
journalism. He founded TV18 (now Network18 Group) in 1993.He has been instrumental in crafting successful Joint Ventures
with such media giants as NBC Universal, Viacom, Time Warner
and Forbes. In a short span of 15 years, Network18 has achieved a
market capitalization in excess of USD 0.75 bn.
Raghav is a widely admired entrepreneur and was hailed as a
Global Leader of Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum. He
was also selected by Ernst & Young as 'Entrepreneur of The Year
(2007) for Business Transformation'.An Economics graduate from St. Stephens College, Raghav has
