DESIGN OF S.S. TWO-WAY SLAB (Limit State Method)

    1. This application can be used for designing two-way slabs as per Table 26, IS-456: 2000

    2. Cells with yellow fill are for data input.

    3. Data should be entered in specified units only.

    Notes

    Steps for use

    1. Enter required data: Materials, panel type, slab dimensions and loads.2. Enter first choice for reinforcement at bottom and top3. If "Proceed with design" message appears, click Design button, else revise slab

thickness or grade of reinforcement.4. For bars at bottom (short and long) as well bars at top (short and long), the

spacing required from the aspects of strength, deflection and provisions of IS

456 are displayed. Critical spacing is also displayed.5. Choose spacing based on the displayed values, else change the slab thickness or

grade of reinforcement and take more trials.

    6. To proceed to the next slab, click New Slab button and repeat the above steps.
