2. Retrieved from: marketingland.com My appreciation for Twitter grew as I interacted with its many features. I had had a bare bones profile for quite awhile and had not engaged with it, except to creep other pages. Once I began tweeting, retweeting, following relevant people and things, and sprucing up the visual appeal of my page, I began to see what the site can really offer. And let me tell you, it is good. 3. Picture A & B show the marked increase of followers(!) Picture A: 32 followers Picture B: 89 followers 4. To see the growth that has happened on my Twitter, I invite you to take a look and see what its all about: ellesv or @ twitter.com/LeeLeeStephv 5. Edutopia is an amazing addition to follow on your Twitter. They constantly have tweets on my newsfeed where my reaction is Aha! There is no better way to describe it. From resources for poetry month to greats tips on how to slow down, theyve got it all. People to Follow: @Edutopia Retrieved from: http://www.edutopia.org/blog/ten- ways-to-slow-down-teachers-elena- aguilar?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=post& utm_campaign=blog-ten-ways-to-slow-down- teachers-image 6. Jerry Blumengarten has a PLN chalk full of great resources for any teacher. As a past librarian and teacher for 30 odd years, he has the knowledge and experience to put to the task. I enjoy reading his tweets which always have a slight air of humour or often times anyway: People to Follow: @cybraryman1 7. Jason has such incredible stuff to bring to the table which he does on Twitter. His credentials speak for themselves which he has posted in his About Me section-definitely someone you want to pay attention to. His tweets oftentimes can be whimsical, and just as often inspiring and/or helpful. I particularly liked this recent tweet: People to Follow:@JasonElsom 8. I stand by what I said back in January, in reference to Twitter. My reasoning remains the same, in that you cannot beat what Twitter has to offer. Its free, accessible, and has the most amount of potential for Connection! As teachers we can benefit from inspiration coming from any direction. From Australia to the States, they may have different policies but the idea is pretty much the same: make a connection with your students and facilitate their learning. I want all the professionals in my back pocket- or better yet available to me at the click of a button. Its inspirational in design and carries a lot of potential for ideas to take into the classroom with you. I can see myself using Twitter throughout my career and utilizing it in many different ways.
