SERMON

* AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (All)

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of

heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of

the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and was buried; he

descended to the dead. On the third day he rose

again; he ascended into heaven, is seated at the

right hand of the Father, and will come again to

judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Universal

church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness

of sins, the resurrection of the body and the life

everlasting. Amen.

"Worship In The Park" - Sunday, September 3rd

at 10 AM.

Look for the tents by the Killian Meyer Building. Bring a lawn

chair or blanket, if you wish. Folding chairs will be provided by

the churches participating. Lots of good music, great food and

good fellowship.

Trinity and Peace MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers) will

resume on Thursday, September 7th and meet 9-11 AM at

Trinity Church the first Thursday of each month. For more

New Youth Leader - The Joint Staff Parish Relations

Committee of Peace and Trinity churches are very pleased and

happy to announce the appointment of Heather Gladney as our

new Youth Leader. Heather has exciting plans for our

community youth so please welcome Heather in her new position

and stay tuned for further announcements!

Kwik-Trip Gift Cards for Sale on Sundays – Thanks to Nancy

McCauley for volunteering with sale of these cards, which will

be available at most Sunday worship services when Nancy is

present. The cards are in $25 denomination. And remember

these make great gifts for any occasion, for anyone, for any time

or any reason.

Visitation Ministry Team – if you feel called to assist with

making contact and personal visits to those who are homebound,

hospitalized, or in a convalescent center, please contact Tricia

Tuesday Morning Women's Group - are meeting Tuesdays at

9:45am to 10:45am with fellowship afterwards. We are currently

reading a new book, "Bondage Breaker" by Neil Anderson.

Peace UMC Fall Bible Study - will start on Tuesday, September

5th, at 1:00 p.m. They'll be studying the first 7 Chapters of
