Are you interested in a career with Squamish Fire-Rescue? Are you interested in

learning about Fire-Rescue Training?

The Squamish Fire-Rescue Department is offering a one day career experience on April 27 and April 28th, 2018 for any grade 10-12 student (male or female) interested in learning ab

out what it takes to be successful in a Fire-Rescue career. Due to the strenuous nature of the training activities, all applicants are required to have a good general health record.

This is a very popular program and space is limited.

Apr 27 & 28 Training Day at Fire Hall #1

Participants will be required to arrive and depart from the Fire-Rescue Hall #1 near

Stawamus Elementary on their own. Transportation will not be provided. The program

will begin Friday at 9:00 AM and runs until 3:00 PM and Saturday 8:30 AM and runs until 4:30 PM . Students should dress in athletic wear

(shorts or light-weight athletic pants, a shirt and socks) and bring a change of clothes.

Squamish Fire-Rescue will provide the students with Safety Gear including boots.

Lunch will be provided.

Expect to experience Fundamental Fire Suppression Methods, Training Drills and Basic

Rescue Operations. The Ratio of instructors to participants will be between 1:1 or 1:2.
