Process1. Verify with POC that all units to be wiped have been disconnected from the network.2. Perform a physical count of total drives in unit using architecture map3. Power on Techway 2U unit4. Connect cabling to unit to be wiped5. Power on unit to be wiped6. Allow drives to load (approx. 1 sec per drive) by using terminal view7. Connect cabling to Techway 2U Unit from system to be wiped8. Open Tabernus EE Array Application9. Verify all drives have been detected10. Select all drives and add unit asset serial number11. Select all drives and begin erasure12. Pull ALL failed drives from unit and attached failed drive sticker, log drive on Pulled Failed Drive Reporting Form and give

to site POC14. Only after 100% match of the physical count to the record count has been verified, then continue to the next batch and

Processing Time

There are three determining factors in project processing expectation:

1. Type of drive ( Fiber Channel, SAS, PATA,SATA)2. Type of Device Cabling ( 1-3 GB)3. Time allotted in facility

Drive Type Drive Size in GB MB per Second Erase Hours (3x erase)

SAS 300 85 3.00

FC 300 75 3.40

SCSI 300 70 3.70

SATA 300 50 5.10

IDE / PATA 300 40 6.40
