count the verbs in the sentence.

ONE VERB
If there is one verb in the statement and the verb is a form
of be, simply switch the positions of the subject and verb.
If there is one verb in the sentence (and it is a form of verb
be [was, were, is, am, are, will be]) switch the position of the
subject and the verb.

I am hungry. Am I hungry?
