Sharing a baby’S unique perSonality “type”

Graphic designer and mom Lidia Varesco Racoma

dreamed up typebaby® during the wee hours while

on maternity leave from her graphic design business.

Since her son was the “non-sleeping type,” she kept a

sketchbook next to her rocking chair and

brainstormed ideas until daylight.

Knowing that babies require multiple wardrobe changes, and not finding

children’s apparel that met her design aesthetic, Lidia set out to create

well-designed baby and kids apparel for fellow creative-minded parents.

Lidia has always been inspired by typography and as she watched her

son grow, she saw his personality “type” develop: thustypebaby was born.

typebaby designs are inspired by the unique personalities of growing babies.

The designs are imaginative and relatable, reflecting the sense of humor that

is essential to surviving the early years of parenthood.

Moms know that a comfortable baby is a happy baby. For that reason,

typebaby uses only high-quality bodysuits and tees that are soft, durable

and last through washings. We encourage hand-me-downs!

typebaby is passionate about supporting fellow local businesses. Our apparel

is screen printed in Chicago by local vendors who use kid-safe, lead-free inks.

Lidia is active in the local and online mom communities. She shares

trendy and well-designed baby and kids finds on typebaby’s social media

pages as well as insight from fellow moms in business on her blog, Biz Mama.
