An interview to determine whether the

applicant is suitable for the position of

employment

Especial type of interviews.

In exploratory interviews:

The initiative is taken by the applicant

rather than the employer

In peer interviews:

The interview of an applicant is taken by the

existing employees of the organization

rather than the HR officials

Pros and Cons of Peer Interviews Advantages:

Applicants are able to learn about the organization

Boosts the morale of the employees

Helps the applicant to establish good relations with others

Disadvantages:

Personal agendas of the employees

The applicant will be facing stress on the job

Asking four or five questions in a row

Asking the illogical questions

Acting rude or sarcastic

Also known as the in depth interviews

The purpose is:

To examine that how good the applicant

is in a particular field of interest

The past performance is the best

indicator of the future behavior

Failure and how you overcame

Interviewing Less Than Ideal Candidates

Sometimes recruiters are unable to find

the ideal candidate for a position,

therefore they have to settle with less

than ideal candidate.

If the deficiency can be removed from training

If the organization have resources to provide training

The interviewer loss control, relies on the applicant

and allows the candidate to guide the interview
