The Digital Automatic Tyre Inflator is the first truly portable automatic inflator/deflator. Powered by a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery, lasting up to an impressive 15 hours (continuous use). Connect to airline, set the required pressure and then let this automatic inflator do the rest. Housed in a tough ABS case, has a 2700 mm hose and Inflates up to 174 psi at an astonishing 2,500 L/min @ 182 psi

The inflator also has two programmable pre-set buttons for setting the common pressures quickly and easily. With OPS (Over Pressure Setting) making it ideal for mobile fitting for truck, car and earthmoving equipment. Simply set and walk away as the inflator over Inflates to seat the tyre bead and deflates to the correct tyre pressure.

The Jamec Pem TDR 2000 Tyre Inflator represents quality and guaranteed accuracy. The classic hand held, slimline design is easy to hold. Designed to last in rugged workshop environments and utilised in a majority of Australian service stations.

Designed to meet EC standards and constructed in die cast aluminium for lightweight ease of use. Dual scale standard calibration is 0-138 psi and 0-9.6 bar.

Wire sheathed hose eliminates kinking. Ergonomically designed trigger with two click action.

Magnified linear scale is to a guaranteed accuracy. Each gauge is supplied complete with a certificate of calibration and full installation operation and service instructions. Packaged in a robust, easy to display colour box.

The TDR3000 Digital has the same tough aluminium housing as the original but has been redesigned to make it more compact with a larger LCD display. It has dual shock bumpers, coil spring hose protection, dual hold on chuck, with a backlit digital display, Inflates up to 174 psi with an accurate multi-scale gauge which has auto ON and auto OFF.

COMPRESSEd AIR SAFETY vALvES

Jamec Pem introduced this Australian designed Compressed Air Safety Valve (CASV) to minimise the damage in situations where a pneumatic air hose could fail or become disconnected while under pressure. It was developed with the co-operation and guidance of Montech Pty Ltd and Monash University Melbourne.

A properly selected CASV will instantly cut off the rush of air due to the hose failure. Turning off the air supply and reconnecting, repairing or replacing the damaged hose will allow the CASV to reset. Air flowing through an unrestricted loose hose causes the hose’s open end to start to accelerate due to the energy of the flowing air reacting on the hose casing, rather like the reaction of an aircraft jet engine. If allowed to continue unchecked the hose and any fitting that may still be attached will start to thrash around striking whatever is in its path. In confined spaces and public areas this could lead to serious damage or injury.

Fitting the compressed air safety valve

■■ The body has two grooves machined into it to indicate the inlet end and an arrow that indicates the direction of flow

■■ It is recommended that no more than two hoses of the same bore diameter should be connected together

■■ The longer the hose length the higher the shut off pressure will need to be

■■ Where very long lengths of hose are needed, then larger hoses stepping down to the tool hose with appropriate CASV at 18 metre (60 ft) intervals are recommended

■■ If the supply pressure is not sufficient the CASV may not function correctly

■■ If two or more hoses of the same size are coupled together then the pressure to operate the CASV must be higher

■■ Each valve can only protect a maximum of 18 metre (60 ft) of its nominal hose size. Check that the contemplated air supply can handle this. Any fittings used in the air hose system that in

any way restricts the air flow must be considered in relation to pressure drop and may be the cause of non-operation of the CASV

■■ CASV are designed to handle all the expected variables of each matching hose size, to ensure efficient and safe operation of that hose, they are pre-set and sealed. NO ADJUSTMENTS ARE REQUIRED.

■■ All air hoses from 10 mm (3/8") internal diameter and over should be individually fitted with CASV as 20 metres (65.6 ft) in the case of 3/8" hose

■■ Hoses over 18 metres (60 ft) in length require a valve at the inlet end of each 18 metres (60 ft) section and a corresponding greater input pressure to take care of increased pressure loss due to the extra length of hose

■■ Calibrated to operate at a working pressure of 90–110 psi ■■ Couplings, nipples, sockets etc. must have the same thread size

as the CASV selected ie. 1" CASV = 1" fittings and hose bore■■ Each CASV is supplied with complete instructions
