REFLECTIONS OF A FATHER: I can give you life, but I cannot live it for you.I can teach you things, but I cannot make you learn.I can give you directions, but I cannot be there to lead you.I can allow you freedom, but I cannot account for it.I can take you to church, but I cannot make you believe.I can teach you right from wrong, but I cannot always decide for you.I can offer you advice, but I cannot accept it for you.I can give you love, but I cannot force it upon you.I can teach you to share, but I cannot make you unselfish.I can teach you respect, but I cannot force you to show honor.I can advise you about friends, but I cannot choose them for you.I can tell you about lofty goals, but I cannot achieve them for you.I can teach you about kindness, but I cannot force you to be gracious.I can warn you about sins, but I cannot make you moral.I can pray for you, but I cannot make you walk with God.I can teach you about Jesus, but I cannot make Jesus your Lord.I can tell you how to live, but I cannot give you eternal life.I can love you unconditionally all of my life…and I will!

Obituary
Tyrone Hutchinson was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He and his siblings were raised by their grandparents in the fear and admonition of the Lord. He graduated from H.D. Woodson High School in 1987 and later attended Morgan State University. In the Fall of 1990, while at Morgan State, he met his college sweetheart, Julia. Ten years later, Tyrone moved to New Jersey to be closer with their son, Jonathan. In August 2000, Tyrone and Julia were joined in marriage. In June 2001, they had their second son, Elijah.
Marriage and fatherhood filled a huge void in Tyrone’s life. However, there was still a desire to know Christ on a deeper lever. He became a member of Faith Gospel Tabernacle in Irvington, NJ under Bishop Walter Francis. He also en-rolled in Eastern Bible Institute in Irvington, NJ. Tyrone’s passion for the Word of God propelled him to excel. In 2005, he earned his Bachelors in Religious Educa-tion and was awarded Valedictorian of his graduating class. He went on to earn his Masters in Theology while serving in various duties at Faith Gospel Tabernacle.
Over the years, Tyrone had the opportunity to touch the lives of so many people. His compassion and humble spirit enabled him to relate to anyone regardless of circumstance. There was no one who was ‘unapproachable’. His values on edu-cation inspired him to seek the finest education for his two sons. When Tyrone wasn’t studying the Scriptures, he was pursuing his next passion - Chess. As a member of the U.S. Chess Federation, Tyrone played at the Marshall Chess Club in NYC.
In 2008, Tyrone and his family joined Agape Family Worship Center in Rahway, NJ under the leadership of Senior Pastor Lawrence Powell. Tyrone was admired, esteemed and loved by many. He leaves behind his wife Julia, sons Elijah and Jonathan, siblings (John, Reginald, Amy and Sylvester), nieces & nephews (Yatia, Jonya, Renita, Joniqua, Keanu, John and Serena), his Grandmother Ida Jordan, Uncle Joseph Jordan and a host of family, friends, E.B.I. colleagues, and co-work-ers. If you were to ask Tyrone how’s he’s doing right now, he would smile and say, “All is well.”
