UW Lab School “Africa Imports” Fundraiser! Dear UW Lab School Families and Friends: We are hosting an “Africa Imports” Fundraiser this spring. Africa Imports is a company that provides a link between artisans in Africa and people in the United States who love and appreciate their work. You will find that most of the items we have selected to sell are handmade in Africa by African artisans – in their own way. These are high quality items that make great gifts (or….you just may want to keep the products for yourself! ) When you purchase an item in this flyer your purchase will help to: Provide a means of support for people in some of the most economically disadvantaged regions of the world. Support the UW Lab School Music Program (some of the proceeds will help to purchase new music/school instruments, and will also help to pay for instrument repairs, musical production costumes, festival entry fees, and other travel expenses) Support the UW Lab School “Forces of Altruism” Efforts (This semester money will support our “Taxi for Ferdinand” Project) Provide meals for children in orphanages in Congo, Liberia, Senegal, Uganda, and Zambia Please feel free to share this flyer with extended family members, friends and neighbors. Please contact Mrs. Mellizo if you would like extra flyers or order forms to take to work, or if you would like to sell some products to extended family members and friends. If you decide you would like to order any of these products, please turn the completed order forms (along with payment) to the Lab School Office or to Mrs. Mellizo by Friday, March 13 th . We are hosting an “Africa Imports” Fundraiser this spring. Africa Imports is a company that provides a link between artisans in Africa and people in the United States who love and appreciate their work.
