A NOTE FROM Father Will

Pastor

My Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

I am constantly amazed at the activity at Pax Christi! When I look at my calendar, I see one

block of time after another for events, meetings, classes, and prayer. Many mornings and

evenings have multiple groups meeting at the same time. While this is a sign of an active

parish, our parish calendar does not show all of the good work of our parishioners. I am

always pleased when I hear of parishioners being active in civic organizations, service

projects, and simply helping a neighbor in need. Each of us has been blessed: we have

received talents from our Creator, have invested them, and are returning the interest by

building up the Kingdom of God.

I am also impressed with the financial commitment of parishioners. We have a large budget

that places a great deal of responsibility on my shoulders, as well as the Finance Council

and staff, to be good stewards of the gifts you have given to your parish. I would have it no

other way!

These pages only hint at the good that each of you are accomplishing and I challenge you

to review what God is inviting you to this year. Is it time to form a new ministry? Is it time for

a change? Has your income increased or decreased? I realize no one of us can do

everything; we have, however, been entrusted with gifts that can be used to change the life

of others in big and small ways. When we respond to these gifts, we also see God changing

our own lives through his love.

Fr. Will

We love having you as a member of our

faith community, but if for some reason

you are no longer here, and/or joined

another parish, please let us know.

Please email or call the parish office:

Parish Initiatives

We thank all those who attended our listening sessions this spring. You helped us to better understand the needs of our parish.

From those gatherings came our

parish priorities for the next five years.

We recognize the diversity of our households by supportingfamilies as a primary way in which we all can experienceGod’s love.

Family

We foster a community of disciples through mentorship andevangelization that leads to living our faith in every aspect ofdaily life.

We live the Works of Mercy by serving the greater community.

Community

We look forward to working with you

on these parish initiatives.

If you have questions, please contact us!

Our Priests Fr. Will Thompson Fr. Thế Hoàng

Fr. Will is beginning his second year as

Pastor at Pax Christi. He is loving every

minute of it and looks forward to the growth

of the parish, especially in the areas of

family, community and outreach. Fr. Will

enjoys being part of such a large parish

family (though it isn't new territory: he has six

siblings and twenty nephews and nieces!)

Fr. Thế is excited and blessed to be here as

a new priest. He loves great company, food,

and sports. Pax Christi has all of this, but

most importantly, these activities have

Christ as their focus and source of service.

He is the younger of two boys in his family

and is a native of Owatonna. (This alone

should give you an idea of his personality.)

Fr.JonathanFasnacht

After a year as our parochial vicar, Fr. Jonathan was

named pastor to the tri-parishes of St. Luke's in Sherburn,

Good Shepherd in Jackson, and St. Joseph's in Lakefield.

We know they will love him there as much as we lovedhaving him with us!
