Introduction
Welcome to our week without walls programme. The aim of this week is to enhance our Grade 11-12 curriculum while at the same time fostering strong links between teachers and students and developing relationships within the student group. Our trip to Bali offers an excellent opportunity for students to challenge themselves in a safe environment. The programme for the trip will incorporate elements of academic curriculum drawn from Art, Math and Biology as well as focusing on the core elements of the IB Diploma: Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Creativity/Action/Service (CAS) and the Extended Essay. We hope that the information provided in this booklet will give you valuable information but please do contact us if you have any questions regarding this trip. The Location Ubud, as a cultural, artistic and environmental centre, provides us with the opportunity to undertake a terrific range of CAS activities as well as furthering our subject specific knowledge. Our students will be able to explore the local environs and reflect on their experiences in direct relation to the
core components of our G11-12 programme here at SWA. It is therefore compulsory that all students arrive at the airport at 04:30 am on Monday 10th September in order to book in as a whole group.
