ucc accommdation feedback survey

1
“UCC ACCOMMODATION OFFICE LAUNCHES NEW ACCOMMODATION FEEDBACK SURVEY” The Accommodation Office in UCC has launched a new online survey which shall allow students to provide feedback on their accommodation experience. The survey which was launched this morning will be accessible from the office’s new Facebook page and website. All feedback through the survey will be provided anonymously, with the intended hope that students will be encouraged to provide constructive feedback on their accommodation experience. The survey shall initially be restricted to providing feedback on apartment complexes, but will be extended to include private housing in the coming months. Speaking of the new facility, Maura O Neill (Accommodation Officer) noted that “the standard and availability of accommodation around UCC has increased dramatically over the past two years in particular. The new survey will allow students to inform us in the office of the positive and adverse experiences, which shall in turn allow us to provide feedback to the specific apartment complexes.” This development is just one of a number of new initiatives from the UCC Accommodation Office that seeks to promote awareness of tenancy rights to the student body. It is hoped that a revamp of the office’s website and the creation of information pages on Facebook and Twitter will make students more aware than ever of their legal rights. Ms O Neill explains that “…this is particularly important with the influx of first year students over the coming weeks. We offer a drop-in advice centre, provide free rent books and maps and boast a comprehensive database of student houses, lodgings and apartments.” The Accommodation Office is open 9.15am-5pm Monday-Friday / 9.15am-2pm on Saturdays, for the months of August and September. For further information on accommodation or the new survey, you can visit www.ucc.ie/accommodation, phone 021-4902498 or email [email protected]. Alternatively, the new survey is accessible from the office’s Facebook page at http://url.ie/7818.
