11. NO ASBESTOS OR PCB CONTAINING MATERIALS SHALL BE USED ON THIS PROJECT.
12. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND ALL SUBCONTRACTORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROPER REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF ALL DEBRIS GENERATED BY CONSTRUCTION OF THIS PROJECT. THE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF ALL CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS SHALL BE IN FULL COMPLIANCE WITH ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL REGULATIONS. THE PREMISES SHALL BE KEPT CLEAN AND FREE FROM ALL WASTE MATERIALS.
13. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT NEW CONSTRUCTION FROM DAMAGE BY ALL TRADES. ALL SUCH DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE CONTRACTOR DURING THE COURSE OF HIS WORK SHALL BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED AT THE CONTRACTORS EXPENSE.
14. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR FIELD VERIFICATION OF ALL DIMENSIONS AND FIELD CONDITIONS PRIOR TO ORDERING OR INSTALLING MATERIALS OR EQUIPMENT.

GENERAL CONTRACTOR'S GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL MATERIALS, CONSTRUCTION METHODS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP.
2. DO NOT SCALE DRAWINGS.
3. ALL NEW WORK IS TO BE PLUMB, LEVEL AND SQUARE.
4. ALL NEW WORK IS TO COMPLY WITH UCCS DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS.
5. UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE ALL INTERIOR DIMENSIONS ARE TO FINISH FACE OF EXISTING WALL.
6. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO BRING DISCREPANCIES OR CONFLICTS BETWEEN VARIOUS CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS, TO THE IMMEDIATE ATTENTION OF THE ARCHITECT BEFORE BID OPENING FOR RESOLUTION.
7. CONTRACTORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATING WORK WITH OTHER TRADES AND OWNER'S SELF-PERFORMED WORK WHEREVER AND WHENEVER THEY OVERLAP.
8. CONTRACTORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING THE INTEGRITY OF FIRE RATED ASSEMBLIES WHEREVER AND WHENEVER THEIR WORK PENETRATES OR BREAKS THE INTEGRITY. FURNISH AND INSTALL FIRE STOPPING AT ALL OPENINGS AROUND PIPES, CONDUIT, STRUCTURAL MEMBERS, ETC. IN FIRE RATED ASSEMBLIES.
9. EXISTING FURNITURE TO BE REMOVED, STORED, AND REINSTALLED BY SEPARATE MOVING CONTRACTOR. NEW FURNITURE TO BE INSTALLED BY A SEPARATE VENDOR, BOTH UNDER CONTRACT WITH OWNER. GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE WORK.
10. GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO COORDINATE INSPECTION SERVICES PROVIDED BY STATE INSPECTOR. FEES FOR MEP, FIRE DEPT. FEES, INSPECTIONS AND REQUIRED PERMITS TO BE BY GENERAL CONTRACTOR. FEES FOR STATE ARCHITECT INSPECTIONS BY OWNER.
11. ALL ELECTRICAL WORK WILL NEED TO BE PERFORMED BY A MASTER ELECTRICIAN WHO SHALL VERIFY THE LOAD CAPACITY OF ALL CIRCUITS AND PANELS BEING ADJUSTED. THE MASTER ELECTRICIAN SHALL SUBMIT A STATEMENT TO THE STATE INSPECTOR CERTIFYING THAT ALL AFFECTED LOAD CAPACITIES HAVE BEEN VERIFIED PRIOR TO FINAL INSPECTION.
12. GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MODIFICATIONS TO EXISTING SPRINKLER SYSTEM. COORDINATE WORK WITH WESTERN STATES FIRE PROTECTION OR SIMPLEX.
13. GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MODIFICATIONS TO EXISTING FIRE ALARM SYSTEM. COORDINATE WORK WITH SIMPLEX.
PARKING, TRASH REMOVAL, TEMPORARY FACILITIES, DELIVERIES, SCHEDULE, WORK HOURS & BUILDING ACCESS
1. FREE PARKING IS AVAILABLE DURING WINTER BREAK - DECEMBER 15, 2018- JANUARY 21, 2019. CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PARKING FEES DURING OTHER TIMES.
2. PEDESTRIAN SPINE IN FRONT OF MAIN HALL CAN BE USED FOR TEMPORARY UNLOADING OF MATERIALS ONLY. NO PERMANENT PARKING ALLOWED.
3. GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TRASH AND RECYCLING REMOVAL. COORDINATE DUMPSTER LOCATIONS WITH UCCS PROJECT MANAGER.
4. COORDINATE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES WITH UCCS PRO MANAGER TO MEET OWNER'S SCHEDULE.
5. ACTIVITIES CAUSING NOISE, VIBRATION, ODORS, DUST, ETC. AND ACTIVITIES WHICH REQUIRES CLOSURE OF PART OF THE BUILDING OR INTERRUPTION OF UTILITY SERVICES MUST BE COORDINATED WITH OWNER'S SCHEDULE.
6. ARRANGE BUILDING ACCESS WITH UCCS PROJECT MANAGER.
7. ALL MEANS OF EGRESS SHALL BE OPEN AND OPERATIONAL DURING CONSTRUCTION. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT BLOCK OR OBSTRUCT HALLWAYS, STAIRS, DOORS, ETC. FOR THE DURATION OF THE PROJECT.
8. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE DUST PARTITION OF ADJACENT SPACES DURING CONSTRUCTION AND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING THE CLEANLINESS OF THE SITE INCLUDING STAGING AREAS.
