UCSI UNIVERSITY TRUST SPORTS BURSARY

Pass the minimum grade set by the respective faculties at UCSI College.Maintain their sports achievements throughout their studies at UCSI College at state or national level.Serve and contribute towards the promotion of sports activities at UCSI College.

This Bursary is open to any Malaysian state or national athlete who enrolled in any of the foundation programmes (leading to a degree programme* at UCSI University) or any diploma programmes at UCSI College.

Successful state athlete applicants will be awarded a partial tuition fee waiver while national athlete applicants will receive a full tuition fee waiver for the undergraduate study period at UCSI College. Applicants must be a State or National Athlete*** verified by the National Sports Council of Malaysia and the respective Sports Association.

This Scholarship is offered to new intake Malaysian students pursuing the Foundation programme at UCSI College. It is open to those who obtained at least 7As in the SPM or 5As in IGCSE O-Level Examination taken in year 2017.

Scholarship entitlement corresponds to the number of As in the relevant subjects.

Successful recipients must:• Maintain minimum CGPA of 3.50 (full scholarship) and CGPA of 3.00 (partial scholarship) for every semester, below which the scholarship will be revoked.

* Only As for relevant subjects will be considered.** The amount will be disbursed equally over the 3 semesters of study.

* Except Pharmacy and Medicine programmes

The UCSI University Trust Scholarship is open to Malaysian students who enrolled in any of the foundation programmes (leading to a degree programme* at UCSI University) or any diploma programmes at UCSI College. The scholarship is offered to students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements, leadership attributes, participate actively in extracurricular activities and community involvements.

Current UCSI students who have excellent academic grades and a track record of at least one year while at UCSI College, may apply for the Scholarship.

This scholarship offers full or partial tuition fee waivers for the student's undergraduate study period at UCSI College.

This scholarship is offered to new intakes student pursuing Certified Accounting Technician programme conducted by UCSI College. It is open to those who obtain at least 7As in the SPM or 5As in IGCSE O-Level Examination taken in Year 2017. Scholarship entitlement corresponds to the number of As in the relevant subjects.

Information Technology

a) Education Grant covers only tuition fee waiver for the academic Year 1 of the programme offered and is neither transferable to another candidate nor exchangeable for cash.b) Applicants must register as full-time student at UCSI College, satisfy the qualifying criteria as well as meet the relevant entry and English requirements set by the college for the respective programme.c) In the event that a successful applicant does not fulfil the college’s English requirements, he/she is to take additional English course(s) at UCSI College concurrently with undergraduate programme and the successful

applicant is to cover the cost for the English course.d) Successful applicants are to pay any miscellaneous fees and other fees that are not covered by the education grant.e) Successful applicants must maintain a minimum of CGPA 3.00 in every semester, below which the Education Grant will be revoked. (For applicant applied for Information Technology, they must maintain a minimum

CGPA2.80 in every semester)f) Successful applicants must maintain their discipline, attendance and good behaviour through their studies at UCSI College.g) Successful applicants are to voluntarily contribute effort and time of not more than 4 hours a week or 15-45 hours per long semester (7.5-22.5 hours per short semester) to assist the UCSI College and the UCSI

University Trust in its various workplace and community projects.h) Successful applicants are to pay back the amount disbursed up to date in case of withdrawal.i) The quantum and number of Education Grants offered are subject to final approval by UCSI University Trust.j) As there is a limited number of education grants, offers will be made on a first-come-first-served basis.k) For the continuation of the scholarship, successful applicants are required to apply UCSI University Trust Scholarship using Diploma Year 1 result. Shortlisted applicants are required to undergo a scholarship interview

and the continuation of scholarship will be subject to the decision made by the scholarship selection committee.

Deadlines for applications to reach the UCSI University Trust

Apart from the specific terms and conditions prescribed for each scholarship/ bursary, all applicants must:

1. Be a registered full-time student at UCSI College.

2. Complete the UCSI University Trust Scholarship/Bursary application form obtained either at UCSI University Trust Office, at the UCSI College or downloaded from www.ucsicollege.edu.my or www.ucsiuniversitytrust.com

3. Furnish true and accurate information, failing which their application will be disqualified without prior notice.

4. Forecast result is accepted for application if the official result has not been released at the point of new intake.

5. Submit application form to the UCSI University Trust before the submission deadlines. (Please refer to the instructions on submission)

6. Submit their applications early for prompt approval. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.

7. Produce certified true copies of examination results and other supporting documents stipulated in the form during the interview.

8. NOT be bonded to or be a recipient of any financial aid or award/scholarship/bursary from other educational institutions or organisations.

1. Shortlisted applicants will be notified by the UCSI University Trust via email or sms of the date, time and venue of the interview.

2. Successful applicants will be informed by the UCSI University Trust via email within 2 weeks after the interview, they must confirm acceptance of the scholarship within 2 weeks, failing which it will be automatically withdrawn.

3. Successful applicants have to sign an agreement with the UCSI University Trust and observe the terms and conditions as set therein.

4. Successful applicants need to maintain discipline, attendance, high academic and exemplary behaviour throughout their studies at UCSI College.

5. Successful applicants are to participate actively in the College’s sports, extracurricular and other relevant activities.

6. Successful applicants are to voluntarily contribute effort and time of not more than 4 hours a week or 50 hours per normal semester or 25 hours for the short semester to participate in the Scholar Enrichment Programme and be involved in various workplace and community projects by UCSI College and the UCSI University Trust.

7. The Scholarship/Bursary awarded is in the form of tuition fee waiver for the programme and duration offered and is neither transferable to another candidate nor exchangeable for cash.

8. Successful applicants agree to pay back the scholarship amount used up to date in case of withdrawal.

9. In the event of a dispute on the eligibility for the Scholarship/Bursary, the decision made by the Scholarship Selection Committee is final and no appeals will be entertained.

10. The UCSI University Trust reserves the right to decide on the quantum and number of Scholarships and Bursary to be awarded or revoked.

11. Scholarship/bursary may be terminated at any time in the event of gross misconduct or failure to meet the required academic grades. In such event, the awardees must pay back UCSI University Trust the amount of scholarship received up to the termination date.
