From the County Executive

I’m pleased to share with you the third edition of our

county’s Dining Guide. Ulster County is a great place to eat,

where you’ll find a collection of the area’s finest restaurants,

including fresh meals, local ingredients and acclaimed

chefs who bring it all together to create the region’s

unparalleled gastronomic experience. Our dining guides

have been well received by locals and tourists alike, and

prove as a useful resource in helping visitors explore the

area to enjoy our excellent offerings.

While you’re here, I invite you to sample the endless

dining options that Ulster County has to offer: from fine

dining establishments to summertime roadside barbeque

to the locals’ favorite delis and ice cream stands, there is

something here for everyone. Of course, with the Culinary

Institute of America close by, our county’s restaurants have

their top pick of professionally trained and innovative chefs

who have created some of the most well-known dishes in

the Northeast. With the countless array of choices available,

literally at your fingertips, food will be a fantastic part of

your Ulster County adventure.

On behalf of everyone who is proud to call Ulster County

home, I extend a warm welcome to our county – the best

place to live, work, visit and raise a family. I hope this Dining

Guide is just your first taste of all that we have to offer!

Very truly yours,

Mike Hein, Ulster County Executive
